Over the years, incredibly, Bakkies, Victor, Juan and Schalk have had their critics. Victor is not physical enough....Bakkies a penalty machine.....Juan more of a lock than a flank. And Schalk? A moron, a crash ball, artist.....a dud to be replaced by Luke Watson.

Well if we had any two of those players last Saturday we would have won. If we had all four, it wouldn't have been close. We miss them all in different ways....and until we find guys who can fill their boots, we will be a lesser team.

u can start jerking off cus bakkies is back. See my post.

Jaun Smith was good but always injured, Schalk was never the same after his neck injury. Only matfield is missed and also only for his lineouts. His general play was averge.

Hehe, jalapeno no need to make it sexual we all see you like it that way :)

But Moz has a valid point wheither we agree or disagree, there is some experience missing that we need to build up in the forwards.

Yes these players have left a great big hole in the Springbok team.

We have the talent to correct the issue but require strong leadership on and off the field.

Out with the Beast, Jannie, Zane, Flip Flop, Mvovo, Morne, Jean, Louw for starters and get the talented young blood into action.

The sooner the better for SA Rugby.

fair comment moz....they were great players but they funtioned in a team enviroment. they had the expierence in there later years under pdv to still keep to there level but they were already developed to a level that they just needed to be more man managed and coached.

there is nothing wrong with the players baring the like of morne and zane not being on international standard. the rest played very very well in the super comp so how can all these players suddenly turn into poor players in less than a couple of months ????...where one can see the blatant same coaching errors week in and week out. the season has been long and to be fair some of theses players look like the season is taking its toll on them but one cant fault them for effort if there is not clear style that really suites them and allows them to perform.

bashing the forwards saying they are not expierenced is just shifting the blame away from the mangement to the players themselves. they were outclassed but smarter more skillfull players. the likes of hooper and co made life a hell on the deck. that is just down to poor selection and poor skills.

schalk is not a beter player than those on the park on saterday. matfield was a magician even if he was a bit light. and john smit's captaincy is really the biggest factor missing from all of this. juan smith i hope can maybe still make comeback so there is a future bok captain right there.

Halavato, Schalk was exactly the same player after his injury! You truly are an idiot. He is overrated though, but still better than Alberts. His workrate is very good, but from 2009 he lost solidity in contact, not that he was very much in making ground in each carry, but he was more solid on defence. From 2009 he was being bounced off very easily.

Juan was a monster, not always injured either. I can only recall two long term injuries, the current one and the back injury in 2006. Like Matfield, he was always there.

Schalk bounced off ....rubbish. He consistently doubled Juan's tackle count. In the RWC QF he made a huge number of tackles and missed none. His tackle on Moore was a try saver.

You do talk rubbish

In the end, Schalk was bettered by Spies and certainly bettered by Brussow. So you aren't doing yourself any favors venturing into that topic. Lambie, Drew Mitchell and Hernandez are but three who have monstered Schalk in his low years. There are many more.

You mean Brussouw who was run over by Pocock. These guys all miss tackles....nobody makes more than Burger, game in...game out.

Brussow wasn't run over, he was shoulder charged off the ball. Matfield, Juan, but two who consistently bettered Schalk. In the end Schalk was the least productive of the loose forwards at the world cup.

Pocock had the ball and ran right over Brussouw. Time for you to do another mozcroscope. Keep it honest this time....there's a good chap.
