to come away with something from the Lions series, I believe they came away with plenty after a dismal period where they were scraping the bottom of a bottomless pit in both quality of play and morale.
Lions coach sizes it up nicely....
Lions coach Andy Farrell used to be Schmidt's right hand man with Ireland.
"The Wallabies' progress in the last 18 months has been through the roof, and look at the side out there over the last three weeks, they are one hell of a team," Farrell said.

"I said to Joe out there on the pitch, I think that special things are going to happen for this team over the next 18 months, and when the World Cup comes around, they will be a force to be reckoned with.
"They have got some special athletes and some special players, and it's not a surprise to us how they have performed over the last couple of weeks."
Schmidt grinned when Farrell's comments were relayed to him.
Unfortunately, Schimdt is leaving the team and so it will be interesting to see if the above does materialize under incoming coach Les Kiss.
