Morné wasn't involved in 15 tackle situations. Yes he did miss a larger number than usual, but overall the Perth test was a better showing than any of Lambie's tests this year. He only made one genuine defensive error in a Hooper/Foley quick tap. He showed off his slick distribution skills as well as the boot. Whilst it's true he will pass before he thinks of running, when he does - which he has - it's purposeful. He doesn't tend to do erratic, stupid things and won't pass if it puts the receiver under pressure. You don't see him throwing hospital passes. Lambie will get you killed.
As per his missing touch? That's not a commonality. And do note he was kicking into a wind so strong it held up his shot at goal and nearly turned it out wide. He was guilty of going for a bigger kick than the conditions would allow. Also, it did not cost us the game, what cost us the game was the collection of missed tackles before the try. In watching the game again I found an absolute gem. The Aussies are breaking into our 22, but where was Lambie? Making a the first dominant tackle of his career... taking out a man off the ball with a spear tackle!
Michael, Morné's passing game is only slightly lesser than Du Preez's. He has a very long pass off either hand.

Letsal
Any player who miss fuinding touch with penalty kicks 7 times in nine matches is habitual in that one. That miss cost us dearly in Perth and in Eden Park test in 2013.
Morne was BS poor in the Ellis Park test and worse in the Perth test. The fact that you refuse to recognise that shows a serious deficiency in rugby knowledge. The way you try and justify he deficiencies in his game and blame others all the time is real BS.
Now let me ask you one serious question - if Morne is so good, why is he not used by his club as their main flyhalf and basically sometimes used for a few minutes a game from the bench?

Michael, your Ellis Park garbage was exposed earlier this year. The Dunedin garbage you spouted was also exposed. Nothing is as you say. Nothing. I don't blame anyone for anything Morné does wrong. I also don't fabricate events.

Oops
Now the Ellis Park story is "exposed". Morne -
* did not miss 5 tackles during the Ellis Park test resulting in two tries being scored?* by poor decisionmaking did not cost aSA a try - when he should have kicked the ball out of touch and instead passed the ball 10 meters from the AB tryline seconds before haltime - a decision that cost us a try as well?* did not missed to find touch with two penalties in the Eden Park Test test?* did not foul up 5 kicks at goal in the Dunedin test.
Letsallbemoron slept through all of that and when confronted found the most admirable excused for the poor performance by Morne.
Best of all the cowrd did not answer the straight question I put to him:-
Now let me ask you one serious question - if Morne is so good, why is he not used by his club as their main flyhalf and basically sometimesused for a few minutes a game from the bench?

Nice try to cover up Morne's poor performances - but you still have not answered my question - if Morne is so good, why is Stade Francais using him as their back-up flyhalf?
Incidentally - Stade Francais used him as starting flyhalf yesterday - but he buggered up so badly - they lost against a low on the log team as a result.

Good point Lestat. Morne missed touch which was a poor mistake. But no worse than Lambie kicking into in goal from a penalty, when the Pom test was in the balance and we had a man up. Morne's mistake should have been defended by the team.

Finding an excuse for the BS play by a player you support is always a given. Insofar as you are concerned the fact that it became a habit with Morne Steyn to miss finding touch with penalty kicks counts for nothing.
The rubbish comparison you made with the kick of Lambie when he kicked out behind the goal line - has been discredited before _ but the stupidity on your part remains undiminished.
In the case of the Steyn kick the situation would have been that Habana would have returned and the team restored to a 15 man team if the idiot happened to find touch. By not finding touch Morne made absolutely sure that it was a case where 14 payers had to defend against 15.
No wonder you agree wiith your fellow-moron - you bloody old fool. Morne buggered up a perfectly winnable game in the case of the Perth test and has now repeated the same for Stade Francais yesterday. But then it is to be expected - Morne has buggered up so many times playing tests and for the Blue Bulls - so only idiots like the two morons will think differently.
Happy morons day to you two morons.

And in Lambie's case he made sure 14 players did not have to defend 15 players from a few metres out as opposed to 65 metres out. Lambie made the worse mistake on that factual basis. Thanks for clarifying the point.

Factual basis? What a crazy bloody moron we have here. Facts means nothing to him - in his lunacy he creates his own facts. The fact is that Steyn is not an international level flyhalf - he cannot even make his club staring team and when he did once this year - he buggered up so badly his clun llost the game.
Facts is both morons are crazy - both are supporters of Mormne and Francois Steyn - two thoroughly discredited players that destroy backline play. So we know whhat to expect from them.

So far Michael, the only time we have had functional backline play under Meyer has been with Morné. Our very next record of successful backline play came with Frans. So how then can you justify your statements? If Morné destroys backline play, then why were we only successful with him? Why hasn't Lambie been able to better him? You resort to personal attacks because you have nothing but hot air to back up your claims. Now in the case of the Perth try, if Lambie was doing his job would he not have been the last man to beat? Why wasn't he there? How can you blame Morné for that try when others missed the tackles that let the Aussie through, or flat-out weren't there at all. The ball was inside Australia's half of the field when they fielded Morné's kick.
I don't fabricate facts Michael, you do that all by yourself.

Lertallbemrons is off because his lack of rugby knowledge has been badly exposed and the tripe he writes has been clearly illustrated. It happened everytime he appears on this board - and every time there is a namechange.
He thought letsal will be a name that could not be trampled with - but it was clear that he meant Letsallbemorons.
He will be back with his weird and uncanny poor rugby knowledge - basically on par with yours. Biased and totally incorrect as to what happens on a rugby field. Same rugby heroes - same morons.

I won't be following the 2016 season because I don't enjoy rugby anymore. I can't actually remember the last test I enjoyed, it may be as far back as 2004/5. The NFL is far more interesting, better run, has a greater respect for it's traditions and has a larger community for discussion and the world of coaching and technical savvy is more open and inclusive.
@CleverMike: My accounts were breached Michael. I don't like changing usernames, I prefer consistency. And never have you ever bettered me in a single debate. You have been exposed as a liar, you are considered by all to be a liar. You accuse me of cowardice, yet I have tackled every debate with honesty and integrity. I back up everything I say and I stand by it consistently. I have never been afraid to speak my mind regardless of how unpopular my views may be. Yet I leave room for discussion. I ask questions, I encourage people to structure and produce a retort. The problem is that those like you never take that offer up, you use personal attacks when you don't like what you hear. And your lies destroy any possibility of an interesting and/or enjoyable debate. Quite interesting you label me cowardly when you have avoided every question I have posed one every issue over the past two weeks. When you challenged me I produced my evidence, I provided everything to back myself up. I'm actually appalled that someone so many years my senior can be so feeble and incompetent; both intellectually and morally.
Here's a track record of which accounts were which:
My first account was changed to "Username" by whoever hacked it. That first account was originally called Zaibatsu, and was changed to Requiescat and derAristokat. So one account that had three name changes
http://www.ruckersforum.com/forum.cfm?threadid=164#inscore_ifheight_xdc_500
derAristokat was Usernamehttp://www.ruckersforum.com/forum.cfm?threadid=794#inscore_ifheight_xdc_500
Requiescat was Usernamehttp://www.ruckersforum.com/forum.cfm?threadid=2200#inscore_ifheight_xdc_500
Sun Tzu was only ever Sun Tzu and was my second account. I hasn't posted from September 2012 until November's 2013. Upon arrival in 2013 I saw I could not log into my account, I requested assistance from admin via email on site but got no response. So, I opened a second account, but was wary of announcing who I initially was for a the first month. After announcing my identity my account was again breached. So I opened up a third which I'm using now.
That third was initially named Lestat, which I later renamed to Desert Fox. As one can clearly see from this thread:
http://www.ruckersforum.com/forum.cfm?threadid=14079#inscore_ifheight_xdc_500
So, when all is said and done, I only ever withheld my identity on one account for roughly a month. This notion that I hide behind numerous aliases is thus a lie. A rather flimsy one at best. Interesting that Rooi, who boasts of expertise regarding Web hacks, was the one to point out the name change in my first account.

I'm sure ou Maaik will miss kicking your sorry arse around this board but other than that, I very much doubt if you will be missed. "Close the door on the way out". So I understand this is the Internet, and the phrase is not to be taken literally. But what does it actually mean one wonders....what is Lestat supposed to do in the Internet context. Not return? That would be typical of the AAs who tries to eliminate opposition by getting posters to leave the Board.
But I suppose it's just like "whining for attention", "crawling back", "mike kicked your arse around this Board, " steaming claptrap".... just another hackneyed phrase, by the prime purveyor of stale insults.

Dense, I know you're terminally stupid but please point out where I insisted Moffie leave or where I called for any kind vote.
If I recall correctly, I simply told your Master that his childish behaviour was dragging the board down and he should shove off until he learned some manners whereupon the pompous old fop had a tearful little tantrum and put up a post asking for people to vote for him. Wehe!
You say "who can forget that funny little exercise" but it sounds like you've forgotten all the salient details . . . unless of course you're just lying again . . . but go ahead and point out the bit where I called for that vote. Until then I'm calling you a liar.
PS Oh and Dense, please note I couldn't give a toss if LeTwat was the founding father of the internet, let alone this board . . . he's still a tiresome and self-important fool . . . a bit like you except he doesn't plunge his dirty little snout quite as far up Moffie's arse as you do.

@Saffex: The greatest minds in rugby union have two things in common Saffex... American football and rugby league. These are the best backline coaches in particular. Think about that for a moment.
To the rest, I think it would be better to ignore Rooibek. He thrives on attention, and I for one just can't be bothered to listen to him anymore. He wants to stir up trouble here because SS have frozen him out. Lets just ignore him and he'll get bored and disappear again. He only ever pops up when there's an opportunity to start trouble, so forget him.

Whether or not it's boring is your opinion; subjective. The majority of people on earth consider rugby union boring so you really don't have an argument there. The point I am making is that American Football (AF) is a highly structured sport. The closest thing to chess. It is a very tactically rich game, far more so than any form of rugby. Therefore there is a lot that can be learnt; no surprises then that that the best attacking minds in rugby union take an interest in AF! Then there is league which you call boring and predictable. It's a sport that has had an enormous influence on the development of rugby union, far more than anything else! You bleat endlessly about attacking rugby, but you have fallen completely out of the loop in union coaches looking to league for answers to beat the same defensive systems and principles that union inherited from league over a decade ago in the first place! And you call yourself a cutting edge coach who kn ows better than our current coach, the most laughable thing of all. You're as much of a crackpot as Michael, with the vulgarity and over-eager mouth of Rooibek.

Structured my arse. There is little skill involved with a bunch of softies in armour bashing into eachother. With the only skilled player chucking forward passes in the hope someone catches it and runs over a line. With all those pathetic time outs to cater for TV ads, it's a yawn a minute.
Not to mention the pathetic size of each squad....its a joke. Typical American shit.

Dave, all the Yank sports are derived from games played by British primary school kids.
Basketball is glorified Netball, Baseball is Rounders and American "Football" is basically Gaining Ground.
Kids sports that have been dumbed down so that even stupid Yanks can understand them . . . and then split into quarters and give n breaks in play so they can ram as many commercials as possible down their throats.

No skill? In terms of what? Have you ever heard about a quarterback? Have you ever heard of a linebacker? Cornerback? How about linemen? The skills and techniques involved are a little over the top. Different blocking techniques, running accurate routes (more strict and varied than rugby's running lines), different techniques for positional dominance. The list goes on and on. Then we include each teams codified language, and the decision making involved based on what personnel, formation and/or coverage type is involved. The statement you just made is probably the most ridiculous I have ever heard from you. Plain ignorance in fact. To most soccer fans rugby looks like an unorganized clump of fat people fighting for a ball, with too many stoppages. We would rightly call it ignorant, but then you come along and do just that to another sport without knowing anything about it.
If you think AF is dumbed down why not have a look at a playbook, it's clearly far more complex than rugby. It's impossible to argue against that fact.

And here's just an example of those big hits.
