Not good news in full...Willem Alberts is still needed and usefull...poor old Jannie has been abused and played to death...because we did not have a replacement...Jannie looks so tired and buggered...he actually looks ten years older than his age...he has been over-extended and over-played but this typical of our mismanagement.
Victor can stay until PSTD returns,Bakkies and Fourie have had a good innings and lets wish them well and never forget their contributions.

Fourie Du Preez will be useful come the World Cup, he's not a geriatric and still has something to offer. Hougaard, Reinach and Du Preez is nice set of Scrummies to take to the RWC.
Alberts has been off form for the past couple of season, but I'm hoping this injury has allowed him a chance to get some rest and get his frame of mind right, we'll see if the old Alberts from his best form or the newer, lazier version. Because if he returns at his previous best, he'll be useful in the NH conditions.
Jannie and Victor I tend to agree with you.

Oh sure....this is a great opportunity for Oom favorites Jordaan and Lood. Hell if Alberts goes maybe we can find a role for his other big pick Laggies.

Sometimes it is good that we are posters and not selectors or coaches, some of our subjectivity is really bad. For some it will be good to select the U20 team, while other favour the elderly. In my mind a team must be picked with the best on form players in each position. The bench must be used with a strategy and not a pre arranged schedule.

Personally I think Saturday's team is the most vulnerable team we have had this year.

Sure
The team is vulnerable - having only 4 of the required Tight 5 players (if only we could get rid of the passenger posing as the fifth iTght 5 player - Matfild it would help massively ) and a defemsve problem on the wing. For the rest the team is stronger than the one who met Wales in June. Morne Steyn is gone and so is the problematic JP Pietersen. Gurthro the Fat is also not in contention.

"Things are really looking up for SA rugby"
"Personally I think Saturday's team is the most vulnerable team we have had this year."
Two diametrically opposed views, only one right as usual.
