Editor, we have a bunch of liquorice all sorts here...foul mouths and loose screws included but we are all well disposed (actually) to one another...well done and this is not patrionising.

A variety of posters but spicy... some are a bit on the fringe of the lunatic asylum but we, I believe all have our fun...just a bit concerned about Sasuke and Cloudy, 2 of our best posters from my favourite island.

Anyway thanks for tolerance...all in all I think with all our strangeness and diversities you have achieved a good forum.

Well this thread gives me an opening to say what I want to say.

I'm looking for some people who may like to write some blogs from a South African point of view in an Aussie Rugby website.

All our contributors are volunteers who are rugby nuts, much like the people who use this forum I suppose - but we would like to broaden our view and get contributions from overseas writers as we can be very Aussie-centric.

The kind of articles we would like to receive are: A season preview of the Super Rugby team you follow - if an Aussie SR side is playing in the RSA, a preview of the game and a match report on the game -  Springbok material too such as previews and reviews of tests played in the RSA - and anything Springbok related that you have a particular interest in.

It's open ended.

I used to write on the old Supersportzone rugby and cricket forums back in the day but they stopped us foreigners from posting there over ten years ago.

There was one good writer there whose name was Mozart and it could be the same fellow posting under the same name here because the quality his writing is as excellent as that of the other Mozart.

There are some other excellent fellows writing here such as Rooinek, CleanCut and clevermike, but I had better stop there because there are too many to mention.

I hope all the fellows I mentioned contact me and more besides.

If perchance you  are genuine Lee, we have a Rooinek here who has aspirations to write on rugby. I cannot however give any guarantees as to quality 

 I want you to respond too Beeno1 - I just looked at some other threads and saw some of your stuff and came back here to edit my post and add you into it but you had already posted !!

Hi Lee Grant! Yes, I remember you well from the old Supersport days and I think you and I bumped into each other on a few other forums as well. Nice to see you around again and I will visit your greenandgold website . . . although I feel I should add that when it comes to international rugby, the Springboks are the Green and Gold team and your Wallabies should really be called Gold and Green . . . or Yellow and Green would be even more accurate!

What we don’t want are “ Did Taps Butcher a Try?” threads. The discussion is worth having, but when a thread is started like that, it heads only one way. Better to ask “Has the art of draw and pass declined in Oz and why?”

What’s new?

The ability to start a thread will be limited, but the ability to have an idea that leads to a thread will not. If you have an idea, post it in the “Suggested Threads” sub-forum which will appear soon. Ideally, create a decent post, not just a one-liner, or outline an idea at least. This will be reviewed by a “Thread Starter” and if good enough, the post becomes a thread. That group will be created, not based on post counts necessarily, but on quality and consistency of contribution. It will be fluid over time.

What Else?

There will be a tighter rein on off-topic posting, and repeat offenders will get warned or given a rest if they don’t get the hint.
There will be no tolerance for trolling, playing the man, abusive or threatening posting and the like. There are places to go and have a good shit-fight on the Web, GAGR aint it.
