I see that Tomas has joined Racing Metro.   Is their anyone with a contact to Johann Goosen - who can ask him about whether Tomas in fact was ever a member of this site?

The man himself has already confirmed he never posted on this site. Thanks to Poi-e for asking the question

 Mozart
I may believe in the Tooth Fairy - but you are worse, you believe in the non-performing Ouma Victoria Matfield.

I must say it sounded too good to be true in the first place, which is normally a dead giveaway.  Still a good spoof. BUT although poi-e is a credible poster, nothing has really been proven yet. Good circumstantial case though.

Umm, how in earth do you reach that conclusion? I had confirmation from his official twitter account that he never posted here, the tweets are visible on his stream...so unless you're deliberately being glib, am I t o understand you still believe Tomas Lavanini actually posted here?

Oumaaik, by your remarks I take it that you regard both P oi-e & Lavanini to be liars.

poi-e, this is the internet, you can take nothing on face value. TL might be embarrassed by his time here, and now denies it. Anything is possible. Most likely scenario is however that it was a good spoof. Like you said. By your further implication, that this site's admin were involved? That is a far more serious accusation and would require harder proof, but you do make a good case.

I'm not. I'm saying there isn't irrefutable proof either way but I'm leaning towards it being a spoof... which leaves us with the question as to why Admin confirmed his ID.

There are simple ways to get an IP address so it appears that you are in a country when you are not.

If the Admin was basing conclusions on the IP address and this matching where Ole Cruz was he could have been fooled into thinking he was genuine. He may have been fooled as many of us were.

Hang on, as far as Im concerned what has been proven is that it wasn't Tomas Lavanini (I'm picking you're not on Twitter or if you are you haven't bothered to check out his profile), but the basis for you not being convinced is that Tomas might actually be embarrassed about his time here so deliberately lied in the tweet about 'not written anything there'....I'd say your counter argument has a lot less legs than mine wouldn't you agree.
What hasn't been proved is who the poster actually was, but I fail to see how anyone could prove that so obviously it's open to speculation.
