Half time in a very scrappy game and it's 9-5 to the Sharks thanks to three Pat Lambie penalties. Toulon scored the only try of the match so far through ex-Brumbie David Smith.

Concern for Cobus Reinach who limped off just before half time and was replaced. I hope that was just precautionary.

Good win for the Sharks, beating the Heineken cup champs in their own backyard is positive.

The weather conditions was difficult to play in - so it was a rather dreary match.
Sharks players that performed exceedingly well were -
*   Bismarck du Plessis*   Pieter-Steph du Toit*   Marcell Coetzee
Du Toit was everywhere to e found on the field of play and was to my mind the best Sharks player today.   Putting in strong tackles that caused possession losses for Toulon, handling the ball and putting serious pressure on ball carriers of Toulon.
It was clear that the Sharks did need match practice and they will definitely improbve in weeks to come.
There were two injuries - both Reinach - in the first half snd Du Tout at roundabout minute 62 - but both seems to eb more precautionary than serious.   Both were at the award ceremney and bth looked quite happy - so serious injuries seems to be not the case.
