So there is a lot of negativity surrounding the appointment of Coetzee as coach, and the subsequent forced transformation policies that will ensue.
Had a thouht this morning. It went along the lines of..."It can't get worse than Meyer."
So the two possible outcomes of Coetzee and transformation.
A) The boks improve. Hopefully this will be the case but i give it 2-7 odds of doing this. Coetzee has been coaching for some time now, and he knows SA want the Boks to run more. My guess is he will get a strong back line coach and we might see the boys playing with a tad more freedom. Still, it's the least likely of the two outcomes.
B) The Bok's play and rankings decline.
Then I thought, maybe neither of these outcomes will be bad in the long run. Because...
If the Boks improve, well that is good. Nothing more needs saying.
But if they decline, well it will serve as proof that more needs doing at grass roots level. Subsequently SARU will have a leg to stand on and an extra arrow in their quiver against the interfering ANC. They'll be able to put the pressure back on the ANC.
Of course there's a lot more to it but that's how I summarized it in my lil brain over coffee this morning. Optimistic huh.

Coetzee will cop less transformation flack from the ANC than any white coach....and he's no rugby ignoramus. Still not the best choice though.

Have I missed something here?
A coach has not been selected yet?
SARU are open to international coaches are they not ... ??
That's the last I heard.

Can anyone believe Hoskens - he said there is no selection made and the meeting on Friday will determine the road forward? I won't be surprised if he comes up wioth a statement that Coetzee has in fact been appointed.
What a load of BS!!!!!!!!!

Mike, Hoskins is no different to any other corporate chinwagger. I actually feel a tad sorry for thr guy. Poop rolls down the hill and he cops a good amount from on high.
That press conference he did where he mentioned that the new coach would have to expect transformation goals and be willing to meet them or not apply - It kind of sounded like they weren't gonna pick the PC man for the job.
I know I posted earlier that this article seemed to indicate Coetzee was gonna get it, but it sounded like Hoskins was saying "We are gonna pick a white coach but we've told him how important transformation is."
I won't be over the moon with Coetzee, but if it is him, well I'll back him. I think every person interested in Rugby in this country has learnt a lesson from Meyer's term, especially thr last year, and that includes Coetzee.

White coach = black assistant coach for either forwards or backs . Drum roll ..... candidates please .
10 Dec 2015, 08:22#9
No blob ... the best coach for each position.
Let us set aside these constant handouts to the previously disadvantaged. It's high time they earn the right to challenge for the position.
The best you guys have to offer is Divvy, Chester and this idiot Coetzee.
Not good enough.

Mr Plum .Bruddah y'all need to just give it up and come over to the Dark Side ....you will be a much happier more well balanced person with an almost permanent grin in footy season !Beendork put all his wee marbles in his wee bokbag of hopefulnessness and as a result has become totally unhinged ! He now stands around forlornly gripping his empty bokbag looking for answers to questions no one can be buggered asking .

Never Wardad. Never never never! You'll have to take my Bok Jersey from my cold dead hands hehe! I've hated every moment of Meyer's term. But i've supported every coach before him. And i actually liked Divvy. The only team he had problems with was England. Were it not for them he'd have a great record.
Tell you what though, Milner-Skudder looks about as real a deal as it gets. He'll be crossing the line for the ABs for a long long time. I give massive credit to Hansen for putting faith in him this past WC.
Beendork is an idiot. A scared little man whose world is closing in around him.

Yeah right ... Blob's in favour of merited selections.
We already know how you favour the quota system.
How else are you to right the wrongs of yesteryear if not by handouts?

Well think of it as payback time ............. I've been away too long, but surely, there's not all that many ways where they can have a pop at their former oppressors & controlling rugby well that must be sheer bliss for them .
10 Dec 2015, 10:13#18
Tell me blob ... did you also get your job through the same handout system?
Probably need a few additional employees to help you cope with the work load, huh?
Well if anything ... at least it helps fight the unemployment stats.

Bob has never supported quotas. Hands off Bob!!
No rugby wise there is not much to be optimistic about. Apply quotas and we are about done as a top rugby nation. We will be like bafana only a bit better.
Sorry plum but unless you supprt teams selected on race maybe choose some aother side to suppert. I am considering Argies. Cant really support OZ or NZ as they are far too crooked!
10 Dec 2015, 11:12#21
The Argies have asked me to kindly tell ' El Numero uno stupido beendorko " to stay the hell away from them .
They have finally got themselves more fans and dont need el squeazo frightening them off with his lu nacy .

I dunno guys. I know stuff is tricky and there is a revenge game going on, but it won't last forever and we have a crap ton to be optimistic about. There first step, i guess, is to embrace our countrymen...ALL OF THEM. Whites like to scream about how racist Blacks are. I'm white, 90% of my clients are black. We treat each other with respect and we do well for each other. My best employee by a serious distance, is a black guy. Guess which race has been the worst for my business since I started it? Whites. We glean over the mistakes and crimes whites commit because we share a skin color with them. But we need to treat people as equals and judge them individually, based on their circumstances and their actionsneither side is better and neither side is perfect. We need to accept that.
And no Beenis. I refuse to support any other team. The Boks are the Boks. I don't give a SHYTE what color they are. But it doesn't mean I support quotas! Grass roots development is where it should be at.
10 Dec 2015, 12:07#23
White? You? Really??
Sure don't look it.
Why do you find it necessary to tell us so often?
You don't sound convinced.
Is that another lie, Liar??

Lol ok CC. I see I must have struck a nerve with you. What's wrong man? Do tell me about all my lies please :)
By the way, you've still not answered my very simple questions? Have you conveniently forgotten that conversation? Pretty lame exit strategy don't ya think?
Don't you see how much your accusations and insults say about you? Just be nice man. It's easier and conducive to progress.
11 Dec 2015, 11:31#25
It'll take a lot more from you to tweak a nerve of mine, Liar!!
Are you referring to the horseh!t you conjured about the devil being Gods pal and how hell's a place where one's cleansed and not one of torment?
Is that what your referring to?
Or is it the point you made when you said that the Jews knew Jesus Christ's origin and went ahead and beat Him to a blood pulp anyway before crucifying Him?
It's not that is it?
I thought I told you that I no longer wanna part take in your delusional issues. Didn't I say that? Didn't I ask you nicely not to give me yet another delusional explanation of how it's not your beliefs but someone elses?
Could have sworn I did.
It still stands, Liar .

Haha CC, are you aware of what a straw man argument is? You realise that anyone reading this can easily go and check for themselves that I'm not lying or making it up right? Wouldn't that make you look silly? You also realise that when somebody suddenly becomes aggressive and insulting during a normal conversation, it normally means they are out of answers and are reverting to cave man brain to solve their crisis. All in all, I actually feel a bit sorry for you.
Still I won't take offense, and I will treat you with respect and not paint you with the hate brush just because in dont agree with your religious or political views.
We both support the a Lions after all. Let's maybe focus on that ;)
