Bar the fact that they have propproblems with Kruger in the mix - the Blue Bulls looked dangerous insofar as the Super 15 series is concerned.
There are some problems that impacted on the game - Stegmann gave away way too many penalties. I do not think that Pierre Spies made a difference - the youngster Liebenberg looked a good prospect.
There is one issue clear today - Matfield should stay where he was today - in the coaching box. He will just weaken the team if he is allowed on the field of play.
I think Jacques du Plessis showed us today where he shoud actually play - at lock where he should actually be a no 5 lock.
Lastly - that break of Jesse Kriel indicates he is going to be a top class full back - excellent.

That's why Kriel will never be a winger, what a waste it would be putting him there
JJ looked better out at the wing it must be said and I was impressed by most of the players, the numbers for RG Snyman's weight and height don't describe how big he looks on the pitch well enough. Christ.
Whoever that women sat near the camera was, she needed to shut her trap, couldn't handle another minute of her noise....

Good outing by the Bulls with du Plessis getting MOM.
I liked the look of young RG Snyman the replacement lock another mountain of a kid.
Marcel v/d Merwe was a huge improvement on Kruger at 3 only to be kneed in the knee by his own player. Hope he is ok.
Jessie Kriel is a real talent at 15 or 13.
Liebenberg at 8 looks a real find and du Plessis has Bok written all over him. What a lock pair he and Willemse could have been for the Bulls.

That's what I forgot to mention, hope Marcel is fine as it was bit of a freak accident. This new look Bulls game plan seems to be benefiting Hougaard as well as the rest of the team and does make me wonder who actually deserves the credit.
Serfontein was fantastic, much to Mozart's disdain.
Great to watch some Saffa rugby after such a long break, thankful as well because it was a good match!

He wasn't put on the wing so to speak, but he was there often and did well. Assisting Spies for his try and when he tackled the Saracen's player from behind after over running his rush defence.

Oh so because he popped up on the wing once and threw a nice inside pass to Spies, he looked better on the wing.....what utter s h i t.
JJ is now a 13 where he belongs.....end of
Nice break by Jan beating his man on the outside.....once again proving he has all the skills in the book unlike some would have us believe he only has an inside step!!

I'd rather see him at wing where he can take Basson's spot, put Small-Smith or someone else at 13.

The one player I followed as well was Labuschagne - while on the field his hard tackles drove the players back - he caused the turnover that ultimately resulted in one of the tries and tool the line -out ball leading up to Hougaard's try. A couple of strong ball carries as well. He also caused a tackled harlequins player to hold onto the ball when trying to recover one and a penalty for the B ulls followed. I think the Bulls did well to get him on contract. Hope his injury is not serious.

No, they were playing a mish mash of Saracens players.....the Internationals are missing because they are on duty, they have a lot of injuries and they have to play a Cup game tomorrow.So, what they played was a mix of a team, not Saracens.

Small - Smith is bog ordinary. JJ is a 13 and that's where he belongs and will stay. It takes rugby ignorance to wait to move him back to wing or just plain bloody stupidity.
Becs the SA sides never play a full strength Sarries side on tour. Nor was the Bulls side at full strength.

Draad you are wrong....it was a long time ago. He looked like he had potential as a youngster but has been exposed time and again over the years and I conceded I was wrong about him ages ago but some clowns just cant seem to come to terms with that very fact and in the process expose themselves.
Kruger is crap and has been for some time. What really irritates me about him is that he has no balls, no hard edge. He gets beaten in the first scrum and instead of showing some fight, lies down like a scared puppy and gets beaten again in the next scrum.

Serfontein beat his opposite number, Wyles. Brilliant run and a good sign of things to come, also ankle tapped the winger who made a break.
The only players that played badly were Callie Visagie and Werner Kruger.

No Moz Farrell would never gas Jan or JP not possible. Jan is no speed merchant but nor is Farrell my guess is that they are about par.
As for me and Kruger in 2013 that is just a lie. I dumped Kruger many years ago. He has not featured in my squads for years - Fact

Jan beat Wyles a regular first team player and he beat him on the outside. It was a great break by him.

Mozart is the miracle man on the sight - he can past judgement on performances of players without having seen matches.
I am not sure which Cup Saracen is involved in this weekend. There is no Aviva premiership games this weekend - Saracens next game is on 15 Febru ary 2015.
I know the internationals of Saracens was not available for this game - but fact is most of the players Saracens played are in their match day 13 regularly.

It is the LV Cup...Anglo Welsh Cup, the Domestic Trophy.
And the players do not all feature regularly in the match day Squad, some rarely play at all these days, one flew in from Durban yesterday ( because he has left and joined the Sharks but came back as cover because the Squad is so sparse now )For example, the Squad is now so short of Fly Halves, Hodgson had to play even though he will be expected to start most, if not all, of the matches until Farrell is fit enough...that will be at least three months ! He rarely starts these days and can't usually be expected to play a full match.....so Sarries really are going to have to dig into the special dispensation box and sign themselves a 10 as cover for the rest of the Season now. Third or fourth choice Hooker ? Jackson Wray might have been playing his 100th Club game, but he rarely starts these days and neither does Ernst Joubert. I could go through the entire team and tell you who is usually in the match day first XV....but I won't !!
The Bulls will have at least had a good training run and worked out combinations, that's useful in any bodies book. I believe it was a recent Welsh International that was making mincemeat out of the player Saffex refers to....

There we go then and at no point have I ever had him ahead of Jannie. I dumped useless Kruger some time ago. It's been years not months.
Sarries had a good side out it was missing a few more starters than the Bulls side was. Those who don't watch NH rugby should refrain from passing judgement on the side as they are making their names arse.

Yeah, Kruger has problems with most, he is useless. Marcel replaced him and in the first scrum the Bulls were awarded a free kick, followed by a penalty soon thereafter.
Sadly Marcel then got kneed by his own player and had to go off
