The Wallies after the first 15 minutes, dominated territory and possession, largely because almost every contested kick was lost by France. Why use the box kick if your kick chase is non existent.

Today France looked a long way from a WC winning team, although their defence was impressive.

Wales once again was incredibly inept in the opponent’s quarter. Biggar simply can’t spark the backline.

Ntamack likewise is looking very much the junior partner next to du Pont. He was very disappointing today with some truly aimless kicking and inept drop attempts,

The standards in this test were mediocre.

Yes by the results seems rather bland, glad I didn't watch.

Every now and then you get these sort of matches, rather like in olden days when a good Sharks side would play lesser teams and nearly come unstuck. It just happens sometimes. Although I'm not sure why, it could be the actual playing conditions but I'm inclined to think it's the different styles of play that don't compliment and it leads to dour and ugly rugby. It's not common in Les Bleus but Wales sometimes plays a sort of spoilers game. SA has nearly come unstuck with them a few times. It however it is not always so. Wales did well last year.

There used to be a side in the bleak and depressing mining town of Welkom called Griffons. We called them "The Purple People Eaters", they were rough and tough son's of gold miners and spoilers of any good game of traditional rugby. The rugby was not enjoyable to watch but they were difficult on those hard, bare grass grounds which produced the worst "roasties" imaginable.

The Sharks always struggled against them although they were one of the lesser teams.
