Masuku is fucking terrible. First boots another midfield kick straight into counter space for Edi, they give him a break by kicking it away themselves, and then he boots that possession right back into their hands with some weird flat kick into their backline.

Mapimpi can't gather and Efdinburgh are over . . . but ethan Hooker somehow turns him and it's held up.

3 minutes left, Sharks still 4 down.

Edi over but Hooker does great work holding the ball up over the line. Sharks off the hook again.

Last chance for the Sharks as Edi knock on for a Sharks scrum on half way.

Scrum on halfway for the the Sharks...

Is it gonna be another free kick or will Edinburgh actually scrum this time

Great pass from Masuku who redeemed himself with that great penalty touch finder and then the scoring pass to Mapimpi.

I'd like to see someone running off Esterhuizen, they just send him into contact isolated. Someone running off him at pace after he bulldozes the first guy can get into some space.

BS. If he was a thinking player eh would not have isolated himself. In any even the Scots played rugby the Sharks did not,

I was about 15 min behind you lot so stayed away from the running commentary on here

Plenty of niggle in that match - all that off the ball holding on must frustrate the crap out of you as a player. In the old days you could have sorted that out with a good punch

I was disappointed the Sharks scrum did not dominate more, it came good towards the end of the first half.

Those first two tries the Sharks let in was a combination of a failed rush defence and being far too narrow defensively

Im not quite sure what Plumtree’s fascination with lock Emile v Heerden is - he is good but lacks grunt - Jason Jenkins made an impact replacing him. Plum seems to love Emile - I prefer Jenkins and Corne Rahl

Poor Fassi had a shocker - first game back after a long lay off - he looked off the pace and looks to have done his ankle in.

Williams should have started at 9

Esterhuizen showed great strength and Eben was huge

Not the best performance by the Sharks but a win no less

Eben may over react sometimes….but he makes a huge difference to the competitive spirit of the Sharks. He just lifted that Edinburgh 4 who was giving him lip and decked him….reminded me of the time he man handled Lomp.

Rugby is largely about strength and having the strongest man on the field on your side doesn’t hurt.

Those Edinburgh players had it coming - there was far too much holding on off the ball - Eben had had enough as had a few other Sharks players like Bongi and Fez even long after the whistle had blown

so shit rugby - houghtless - no variation in play. Every player thinking he was Tarzan - but playing like Jane, Eveytme passing balls to a player that ran ino a wall of defenders and in he end losing possession. No thinking and no variation,

If I have to single out any player it would have been nobody playing thinking rugby - perhaps the only one who tried anything was Am in ONE instance - the rest played moron repetative rugby. Esterhuizen contriibuted in earning 2 penalties from attempted turnovers at breakdowns. Maybe after 10 years of trying he did learn something from De Allende about breakdiwn ball protection and recovery after all. For the rest his contribution was zeo - minus despote the many efforts of Pakie and othes to create somehing positive. He slowly go into contact and in the end he was brought down not getting over the gainline, Amazing how they tried to get him descibed as a hero from shit and unthinking stupid and repetitive rugby,

Looking at Esterhuizen and his record for the Springboks I will be surprised if he makes the Springbok squad at all this year, And then we will have the standard attack on Erasmus for not recognizing his zero-minus "brilliance" ,

I made the real mistakes of having 3 Sharks plaers in my fantasy team selection and those were Hooker, Kolisi and Etzebeth and what was the return based on actual performances and it was 14,5 points, The only Scottishn player injjured early in the match was Currie who got 8,5 points, I will lay a bet and that is that Willemse on his own is going to end up with more points than the three players from the Sharks combined did.

I am actually sorry for Plumtree - he has zero as thinking players availale and from morons have to ceate a functioning team playinmg creative and thinkng rugby. .

Koch, Bongi, Oz, Even, Kolisi, Jay Hendrikse, Esterhuizen, Am, Mapimpi, Fassi...

That's 10 Bok regulars I count in last night's game, Mike.

Can you explain why Rassie is a genius when none of those players are "thinking players".

Is the genius of Rassie that he likes zombies?

And finally, ask anyone that was watching last night how Esterhuizen saved a try by single-handedly holding up 3 Edinburgh players right on the try line. There is no other word that comes to mind but HEROIC. I was standing up in my living room and clapping, and I think my girlfriend got lightheaded watching the replay.

As for getting over the advantage line, he did that almost every time he got the ball.

So, Mike...that's why he got MOTM.
