Watching the Lions crusties game

Unfortunately we have a ref in pocket nz ref doing his thing.Crokett scrums in on angle to get penalty. Redlinghuys suddenly doesnt know how to scrum against the likes of Crocket - hardly a great scrummager.

The commnetators say mcaaaw should have been penalised but Lions get penalty.

Lions at last get penalty and it 13-3.

Cant think they can beat the ref this game. Will probably give up the game as a lost cause.

And then there was the scrum. Bok prop Julian Redelinghuys was heavily penalised by referee Nick Bryant, earning him a yellow card for his efforts in the second half. And while some may question Bryant’s calls in the matter, it was clear he had seen Redelinghuys as the target of the scrum battle, and peanlised him repeatedly.

Not only did it cost the Lions points, but also any chance at times of getting out of their own half. And it did raise the question of why Lions coach Johan Ackermann waited so long to replace him, only bringing on Ruan Dreyer when the yellow had been given?
