Game is intense from the kick-off.
Of course both SA teams are wearing blue & white uniforms, the SA rugby brain trust at work

JW its the Mighty Stormers. Pleae get with it oak.
Etzebeth has again shown his worlds best lock status. Hs dealing with Coenie was a classic.Have the Stormers enough in the tank to win this.
Malherbe had two dubious penalties against him. Howver once ref sorted out feet positions its been even.  I mention this lest Dr Mozzz goes astray.
Rooitwit is glowing emerald green re etzebeth. Ha hahahahahahahaha

Trouble looms. kolisi "kicked" ball out of hands of sharks player and down under fouls up by giving penalty try and yellow. IRB please keep these gross incompetents far, far away from the game. Please note mooooo man! Scores are level.

Beeno in mourning.  The Stormers lost the plot and lost a game they should have won.  The main problem is that their backline is absolutely toothless and they will struggle with that problem.  They are missing De Allende terribly.

Ref blunder cost Stormers the match. That said the Stormers misss Du Preez, Van Wyk  and Allende very much.
We need a more powerful but mobile hooker and a number 7 of authority like rhodes or Elstadt .  It was always going to be difficult matching the sharks pack with small players like Kolisi, Bobgi and Carr  - all three given as 102 kg. To win big games you need big players!!
A I suspected would happen the Stormers faded a bit in the last half hour.

Well ou maaaikie  said thsi match was in doubt. Howver but for a bad ref call resulting in a penalty try and a yellow card we would have won. The captain should have been able to insist on a replay on the big screen.

Sorry Beeno - maybe it was intentional - but the ball was touched by the foot of Kolisi and even though it probably was not intentional it was a penalty try since a try would have been scored by Reinach if it did not happen.  They showed it repeatedly and it happened as decided on by the referee and the TV ref.
I have no problem with that try - my problem is that I was not impressed by the Stormers backline and their props were not what I expected them to be.   The moment the Stormer scrum did not dominate and their line out being average - they would have a battle to win the game.

Translating Been counting beeno's accounting of the game, wee stormers must have lost on the scoreboard.

According to official accounts the final score was wee stormers 13 - Sharks 18. Has it reached the point where I can't trust Beeno's account of games
I will have to watch the game as I only saw the first quarter.

Very likely - but it was an arm-wrestle and from that perspective interesting.   However, it was clear that the Stormers still lack real punch in their backline and that they need the return of De Allende badly.
Coleman still lacks the insight and decision-making aspects critical to being a successful flyhalf.  I am impressed with Zas as well, but for the rest the Stormers backline was toothless.  Ultimately that cost them dearly.

Stormers wee back were driven backwards about 10 meters by the Sharks at the 6 minutes mark. Completely negated a run by Etzabeth & may sum up the stormers problems.

Skinstat (sounds like his voice) raving on about how the stormers will wear down the sharks because the sharks are forced to make more tackles (25 minutes into the game) shows he is a nit wit. They sharks were playing a physical game that is designed to wear down the stormers.
Brilliant stormers try at the 28 minute mark (Kolbe cro ss kick). Good skills.

On yellow card on Kolisi, close call.
Kolisi stuck his foot out but was it a kick, did the ball hit his foot while his foot was on the ground? If the answer is yes it should not have been a yellow. If the Kolisi's foot was still in motion & hit the ball then to me it is a kick & the yellow would be deserved. To me the ref got it right. Technical ruling but  IMO the law was applied correctly.
