Are you bloody dim - you stupid old fart.  Please note that I provide free accommodation for a Jewish lady - that is how anti-semetic I am.   Hell - but you are a bloody fool.

As long as money is to be made in the big war machine we will never stop reading about atrocities over the world and around.Government contractors lobby for private weapons deals with manufacturers and warlords ride the success of guns left behind by previous military factions. Then there is cultural and religious divides. For one its Alah and for another the Dome of Rock.

I cant say anything positive about war.I saw first hand the devastation it brings to civilians in Afhanistan. That doesn not include the surrounding demographics. So many mines,IED's and guns float about. Drugs and prostitution is rife.

Things get a bit real when you wake up from gun fire at 4 am in the pitch black, thirsty, scratchy eyes and sweaty hearing the rebels shouting to keep firing...LOLI say all of this with deep sadness and regret.Dont mistake my "LOL" as a gesture of comedy.

I justified it for myself that I am just one person trying my best to prevent...prevent what ever the hell evil is planning. I stand shoulder to shoulder with others that believe the same as me, regardless of skin colour and religion.

How ever it should be the aim of every man to fight for the weak, the poor and to bring justice to places with lawlessness. To speak the truth even if it leads to their death and to garden the fruit of peace at all cost.

Well my view is the people who settled Israel were owed something by the world. They were in many cases family of holocaust victims, in some cases camp survivors. No people has been subject to such unspeakable violence....in Germany and in Russia.
Although there was ample evidence of repression and violence the world chose to ignore it. During the years leading up to the war the Western powers turned away refugees from Germany. Even after the war the Jews had to fight for their survival.
These people have been through too much to just give up. And that's what their opponents want, their complete capitulation.
Israel has no interest in subjugating surrounding nations. But they have been subject to attack after attack. I'm not Jewish, but they have my sympathy even if inevitably one doesn't agree with every tactic.
I find the anti Semitic  views of a few posters on here, disguised in a load of hogwash, to be totally unacceptable.

I am somewhat biased having actually in the 80s and seeing for myself what goes on ,Israel is tiny and outnumbered 50 to one by its neighbours and Israel is supposed to be the bully ?Mike I dont think you or anyone else expressing anti Israeli views is an anti-semite but you need to take the blinkers of and look at both sides not just arab propaganda[ I notice you ail to mention why Israel has gone ahead with building on captured land , captured after wars orced on them by arabs breaking treaties or just flat out attacking them ,notice how Egypt and Israel are still at peace with no muslim brotherhood ]Mozart is right though about Israeli rights and intentions .All that land they gained was after wars the arabs started and lost .Since when does the loser dictate terms ? Did germany get to tell the allies what they wanted after WW2 ? wheres all the anger at Russia annexing other soveriegn nations land ? or are they too big and powerful.Israel was right to not deal with hamas , but quite willing to deal with fatah and the PLOwho had both recognised their right to exist unlike everones darling hamas.

Israel has my sympathy as well - they have to survive and they deserve a fair deal.  What I do not like is the way their present leadership carries on.   Because they were oppressed by the Germans and Russians that does not give them the right to oppress others in turn.
They are in fact subjecting the West Bank and trying to gain extra territory through occupation and oppression.  Those are facts.   They have been attacked three times since the 2nd World War - in 1948 in 1956 and in 1967.  All three times they had the sympathy of most thinking people.
However, what they did subsequently is not even remotely fair and reasonable.  They occupied Gaea and the West Bank and laid out settlements in both areas.  The land invovled was merely taken away from their owners without compensation and the homes on their properties destroyed.  When they were eventually forced to leave Gaza - they   destroyed all the houses comprising the settlements and closed Gaza's borders from all sides and by a naval blockade of the Gaza strip.  For heavens sake there are 1, 5 million people libing there and they need food and medical supplies.   Are the residents in their eyes sub-humans?
The people of the West bank has to live in equally dismal conditions and are subject to the same sub-human treatment.    Even children has to suffer.   Take the three teenagers of Israeli settlement dwellers - they were abducted and killed - terrible crime  and the families deserve sympathy.   But was their any need to arrest upward of 500 people and destroy their homes and possessions in the process?   They should have determined who in fact murdered the teenagers and arrest those - but they never did and there is no charges being brought against anybody.  The Israeli Government used that incident for political purposes and not to solve a hideous crime.
Why are there approximately 6 000 Palestine political prisoners in Israeli jails.  Virtually none of those have never been tried in a civilian court - they are just processed by the military and then send to prison and never released.  The Palestinians have no legal rights at all.   When they arrested an American youngster and the Police beat him up recently  so that he ended up in a hospital - was that justified.  It got into the papers and because it was an American youngster they ran for cover.   There has been reports of torture in Israeli prisons - and the indications are that it is true.
Take a simple issue.   The Government does not approve building plans for Palestinians at all - even if such plans are submitted.   When he people then go ahead and build the homes - they demolish them afterwards on the basis that the house building plans were not approved.   Are the Palestinians not entitled to build homes on land they own - or at least own until somebody gets it into his head to approve a settlement and the land is taken over without any compensation to the owners for the property?
If the Israeli Government treated the  Palestinians fairly and like all humans should be treated - everyone would sympathize with them and the Muslim fanatics would have had less sympathy and would not have posed the threat of rocket attacks on Israel.  In such cases they will have the sympathy of every reasonable person.   But they did not - and that remains the crux of the natter.
I am not anti semetic - I am against oppression in any form - be it in North Korea, in Venezuela,  in the Congo or anywhere.   I believe there are international human rights requirements that is often trample on - also in the case of Israel - so lets leave it at that.

They were attacked three times by armies, countless times by terrorists. The only thing that will satisfy their neighbours is their complete ann ihilation. And you expect them to act like Switzerland. Let's leave it at that.

Pffft! Why is it that any criticism of Israel is inevitably labelled anti Semitic? That's ridiculous. If the roles were reversed and a well armed Muslim state were systematically terrorising 2 tiny enclaves of dispossessed peole, the world would be up in arms but because of some misplaced holocaust guilt we must all refrain from ever condemning Israel? We just pander and swoon as though Israel were just some moody and misunderstood teenager going through a rebellious phase.
