Featured in many pundits Bok teams, the last I saw of this cart horse was him disappearing in Kriel's rear view mirror. Are there still those out there that think he is a Bok prospect?

He has Bok written all over him. Is on the Sharks bench as he has been for some time.

Cart horse - that's another bit of Moz bullshit....typically getting it all completely wrong....much like JP not being good enough to bowl 10.

Won't call him a cart horse Moz. Biding his time.  Still a green horn. I prefer Howard, but he has the same problem. AC will always prefer De Jong. No problem with DJ being first choice, but I can't understand why Howard is not even on the bench. I would have given him 20 to 30 min per game at least. AC is way too conservative.

If Esterhuizen has Springbok written all over him somebody did it with a marker pen. Draad I think Howard is a decent option. But the Coetzee decision I really didn't get was starting Schreuder....what do  they see in this bumbling scrum half?

Moz do you even know who Howard is?
Esterhuizen will be a Bok the lad is a physical freak with more than enough pace to play centre witnessed in his try against Saracens last year.
Just because he was flat footed when the speedster Kriel got away from him has you conclude he is a cart horse. It's a typically poorly fabricated reason  Moz to now define him as slow.
He is no slower than Frans, Jean,  Fourie, de Allende, Serfontein etc.
It's much like your poor take on v/ Wyk not being quick enough to score that try.....I had to laugh at that shit.
Your take on players speeds is piss poor. In your eyes Serf, Esterhuizen, Taute and v/ Wyk are slow but Jean was quick....what rubbish.

Oh piffle Dave this is a slow footed, slow thinking lump of a kid. Most test centres would cut him to pieces. As for the van Wyk thing, I don't think he is a gas man....Jean scored many a break away try for the Boks and he was never hauled in from behind.
Step, Esterhuizen, van Wyk and JJ are all bog ordinary. They will never be international greats. Pollard and de Allende have something special, although de Allende is still a very poor reader of the defensive task.

You base that on what exactly when it comes to Esterhuizen?
Jean never out paced players his forte was the intercept.
Jan will be a Bok for the next 10 years and will end as a better player than Jean ever was.
v/Wyk showed on Sat what a class act he is....he was never caught from behind he was caught by cover defence.
The only reason JJ is missing out is because we have a very average Bok coach whose record is on a downward spiral.
These young centres are better than any we have had in the past

Van Wyk was caught by the cover defence....from behind. You simply can't accept facts. Jean ran them in , cover defence or no cover defence, from 80 metres.

These young centres are bog ordinary.  O nly de Allende who comfortably outplayed Step head to head looks as if he might emerge.

Van Wyk is a 13 and a pacy one at that. Its a tradgedy that the hatter Coetzee is not trying him there.
If Frans and JP dont pull finger Esterhuizen and Jordaan will be the centre pair.
Where are Hanekom and Watermeyer one wonders. Lions need both of threse players. Will Jantjes  cope at 12?

Absolute bullshit v/Wyk was never caught from behind. That is simply a lie.
One certainty is that v/Wyk would leave Jean in the dust it would not have been close.
Jean had handy enough pace but v/Wyk like JJ is a sprinter.
We have better young centres than we have ever had and that's a fact. There are more than 10 test standard centres in SA at present.

Caught from 220 degrees. Just another average player. The two Chiefs wings were way better than van Wyk. So why I ask you with tears in my eyes would we consider an inferior option for Bok duty....when the two superior Chiefs most likely won't be first choice for NZ. Is this stupid or what?

Lowe had nothing on him? Sure as long as you don't count 3 clean breaks, 5 defenders beaten and 104 metres gained.
