What's happened to Sasuke San... Cloudy,Dr Win ?

Sasuke is a top poster with a lot of rugby knowledge and a great sense of humour. He is sorely missed.

 I'm sure JW, Cloudy and maybe even Wardad can contact him and hear when he will be back. I know Boklogic and Arizona are not many peoples cups of tea, but I kinda miss their take as well. When Arizona keeps his temper in check and refrains from the racial slurs (for which he has apologised), he is actually not too bad and no one fights with Saffex any more, so BL ogic is needed on that front.

 When that Arizona bloke said about his missus I decided not to direct ANY comments towards him no matter what he said .I thought it better not to say anything rather than continue sniping away and  but I dont think he realized .

Last I heard of Sasuke, he had taken a job working for one of the fantasy rugby teams as waterboy. We wish him the best on this new venture

 Wardad. Arizona said some terrible things, but he toned things down and some of his contributions were good reads. He is still young enough to learn and I think the cosmopolitan nature of this site already broadened his outlook on life. Thanks for giving him a bit of slack. I think he noticed though.

Agreed, ForeverArsehole (aka Forever Arizona) came across as an opinionated little child who actually got some value from these message boards and actually grew up a bit.

 DOnt worry Cloudy, im sure he well reappear by Januaryish once the new season starts up. Surley he wont miss all the fun thats bound to happen in RWC year, especially when Abs retain :D. Havent you heard im the new Naru ;).

 I don't have any news on Sasuke San. It's hard to imagine that he is not posting somewhere as he is such a fanatic about rugby but he could be compiling his stats about AB wins & indexing his videos to illustrate our total domination.  I fear he may have "gone Ku rtz" on us (Josef Conrad into a heart of darkness).


Without the gentle guidance of Cloudy his return could be a brutal thing for the likes of poor weee Beeno & the hapless Stormers

 Yeah Steffi was one of my favourites too..hell she had it...not a beauty like Maria but with something that's too difficult to access...just every thing bar plastic beauty... Maria is just too over-powering and not real for western men...they have not met Russian women...cannot explain the difference...they're beautiful,intelligent, simple and very honest but on the worldwide screen there are scam artists manipulative, clever, scheming bitches...my wife so tells me and she is Russian but distances herself from the false ones and the west's ignorance.

 Maria Sharapova - you know what I call her when she plays tennis and is on TV?  Legs- and-Tits are playing.    She even raises mytemperature a few degrees.
She would have shut the door in the face of Ricthie.   First of all he does not have enough money to interest her - and secondly she prefer the young and strong.   Her latest boyfriend is Grigor Dmitirov at 22 years of age.  One wonders why the poor buggers tennis suffers when she is around???????????    
This reminds me of a the 1990's - when Steffi Graff was playing in Hamburg and a spectator shouted at her - "Steffi - marry me" .  She shoued back - "How much money do you have?"  No that was a wonan with the best-looking legs of any female tennis player ever!!!!!!!!  

My wife tells me Maria Sharapova is the new age Russian women...not really true Russian anymore but a victim of modern temptations...deprived of financial wealth and mediorce standards of living the young people of Russia tasted the corruption of the American style living. Freedom was clothed in moral traps...sending bazookas into their lives and blowing apart the evil injustices of Lenin and Stalin and those lapdogs that followed, Khryschev, Breznev and company...Mikhail Gorbachev...started to change this...a brilliant and basically good man but still influenced in his entrenched belief, not so much in communism but more radical socialism gave way to Boris Yeltsin...a revoluntionary but also a likeable rough man...a good leader but suffered from alcoholism.

When Uncle Boris took the driving seat...Russia was forced to change...almost too quickly...the rouble plummeted and good jobs were lost by the older people and some of the younger generation. the security of communism was lost...a huge gap appeared and feelings amongst both young and old was raised.

I've been to Russia several times, nearly went for the Sevens Rugby WC but I'm glad I did not for the support and preparation was embarrassing.

I genuinely find Russia very attractive...Moscow is a very strange city...ugly and extremely beautiful in places. Never in my life have I seen beauty in the centre of cities...parks, dams with wild duck and bankside anglers...like Paris in old days...Bolshoi Theatre, Red Square, The G um Shopping centre...a mind blower...not even London or New York can boast such sophistication and eligance...and fashion. A new rich but Moscow's a huge city, 13-15 million people ...good Metro system...plenty of taxis, most are illegal but nice for tourists you just waive your hand anywhere and you can get a lift to where ever you want to go. Restaurants very good but expensive..it's changed now I really cannot afford the same approach...when I first went there I stayed at the famous Ukraina Hotel...a pyramid building out of solid stone...a design propagated by Stalin in the fifties...seen in Sean Connery's movie,"The Russia House"...quite a magnificant hotel, now Radisson, but my Russian friends got me into it for 60US$ for bed and breakfast per day...Robert de Niro also stayed there when he visited so years before. I had a view over the Moscow River and looked directly over the river to the Whitehouse...not the Kremlin but where Putin went most of the time.

From there I could walk all over the Moscow region including Red Square.

And Moz...with all the tin...I recommend Moscow for a visit...if you are a man of the world, I know you will enjoy. For Saffex and aggressive guys, Moscow is not the place for you... the thugs will beat to a pulp..your body will disappear in the Moscow River but if you are polite and respectful and have a sense of humour the Russians good and bad will embrace you.

Moscow - when I was there was just after the Gorbachov dismissal - the peope were struggling financially and the only place you could by decent stuff was in the hotel shop.     That i understand at the time was where the Communist elite shopped and it was not open to the public.  
There was some Russian experiences that makes life difficult for an ignoran foreign visior.   Let me explain some things happening shortly after the Communists were ousted.     Lets start with St Petrsburg.   What I would normally do in for instance London, Vieenna etc - is that when I arriv at the airport - I would take the Underground and afterwards train to Essex wher my nephew iss residing or nearest to my hotel where I am booked in.   Not in St Peterburg.  I got off the plain and went to the exit of the airport - asking whether there is a bus service into the city.   The bloke I asked was very blunt - he said no - there is a taxi service and it would cost me $26 for the trip.   I said again is there no public service and the response was - "You take the taxi or walk" - so I humbly paid the $26 and the taxi delivered me to the Octoberskaya Hotel.  The Hotel was built by what they called a Shock Brigade - mainly forced labour prisoners - and I thought it was a dump.   The Hotel food was horrible - and one has to eat.   Anyway, the Hotel was in a side street - just off the Nevsky Propect - the main street in St Petersburg.   
I started walking and ultimately walked the length of the Prospect.  Went to a hotel nearer to the Winter Palace and got some tour bookings of the city and the adjacent towns.   Everything was confusing - the tour guides still had the Lenigrad name on it.  The street names were changed - but that was not reflected on the maps.   Food was nowhere to be found.   There was one shop that had on display only about 10 tubes of tooth paste.   Then a  shipment of bananas arrivd - so what did I eat - I ate bananas.   After two days of bananas I seriously looked for something better - and I found a restaurant Le Cafe - beautiflly restored.   The name actually was " Le Cafe - started in 1891".  Th Communists were regarded as swearwords and they told me that in the time of Lenin and Stalin more than 50 million people were killed as a result of state actions.   
However, I went to amongst  others to the Winter Palace - the Hermitage - called thus because the imperial family stayed their isolated like hermits.  I was a mazing - must be one of the wonders of the modern world.   Part of the Hermitage had an art gallery with 27 000 paintings in it -  priceless paintings from the 15th century onwards.   
Also went to Tsarskoye Selo (Now Pushkin) and the summer palace of Peter the Great.   Magnificent wealth beyond imagination - but then the tour guides said the maginficent part was the state rooms - where visitors was entertained - and showed us where the royal andaristorcratic families actually lived.   Those were plain rooms - with some family photos on the walls - nothing else and - simple beds (iron frames with straw mattresses and simple furniture.   That shows - the showmanship was always more important and the living ways plain and simple.   
Also went to the Peter and Paul Fortress - built according to the same Dutch Fortress design as was used in the case of the Castle in Cape Town.   Peter the Great went to the netherlands and England - he wanted to modernize the Russian Navy - so he worked in shipyards incognito and stole designs of ships and fortresses - and went bac to Russia.   tha happened shortly after the construction of the Castle in Cape Town - hence the design similarities.    Only the Peter and Paul fortress is mnuch larger than the Castle in Cape Town.   The Tsars and their families were buried in the Church and agaimn was  funny arrangement.   below the white marble gravestones was stairs leading to the actual room where the coffin was.   There is two things I remember that happened there in the past and after I visited.   Those were the following:-
*   It was alleged that The Emperor Alexader ! - who ruled at the time of Napoleon allegedly died in 1820 - but there was a persistent rumour that he actually did not die then - but actually went into a monastry in Siberia - where he lived until 1866.   This was seemingly confirmed by the fact that when his coffin was opened in 1927 it was found to be empty.
*   The second story was that the Pretender to the Russian thrown died in 1989 - since he was not a Tsar - he was buried in the church yard in the Fortress.
*    The Empress Maria (Minnie) - wife of Aexander !!! and mother of Nichhlas II - was a sister of Queen Alxandra  - was picked up by a English warship in 1917 at Sevastopol and taken to England - from where she moved to Denmark.  She died in 1928 in Denmark - where she waa  buried.  About two years ago her remains were taken to St Petersburg - given a state funeral and she  was interned next to her husband in the Peter and Paul fortress.   
*    When the boe scraps of the alst Tsar and Tsarina and family was discoverd in Ekaterinburg - they were also given a state funeral by Yeltsin and interned in the Peter and Paul Cathedral.
As I said - St Petersburg is and was magnificent - there is so much to see and admire - and the people was so friendly it is unbelievable.  I wet to moscow - and was less impressed.   From a historical perspective most of the olde city was raised by Stalin and rebuild in teh Modern Style - or so he believed.    I was amazed about the Kremlin - although there obviously were guards - the place was open and you could enter and walk around freely inside the Kremlin.   By th time I was there the body of Stalin was removed from the auditorium where it was on public disp[lay - but the body of Lenin was still there.   The White House still had smoke marks on the walls - which was caused by the attempted troop ousting of Gorbachov - where Yeltsin went and stood on a tank and addressed the crowds and the soldiers and the whole putsh attempt fizzled out.
There re many other thinsg I remembered from Russia and I went overboard and wrote down some of my memories about Russia.  You amy ask your wife about it - she may confirm what I wrote.
O - by the way - food was also scrce in Moscow and I was forced to eat Big Macs - I hated it.   When i got back to my job in Ballito a representtive came to see me about the opening of McDonalds in Ballito.    So I told the guy he must see somebody else I annot help him - wpould not inflictth people of Ballito with a MacDonalds - and because I was rather unhelpful - there still is no MacDonalds there.

Did you ever see this Russian singer Igor Talkov...sang a lot of political protest songs...a brave and good man...he was shot backstage by KGB agent in 1991.
