judgeing by all your chestbeating.

We also have suffered Hanan gong off early! I note that as at half time the much maligned de Jongh had scored the only try which must be puzzling to Mike and muncher.

Hahahahahaha

Dominant second string WP beat guppies in their back yard. WP pack smashed sharkies. That without the likes of Liebenberg, Bekker, Burger, Elstadt Koster etc etc and boks Jean and Habana not playig.

The scorew dos not reflect the dominance.

Hahahahahahha how I warned  the guppies to be more humble!!! huge egg on Mike and cohorts and blowhards like stu and cohorets.

Hahahahahahahahaaha  - but Alistair please mak sure the SA Conference Cup takes to spot on our trophy laden cabinet! Bwahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Deon Fourie must be selected for the Boks - so Meyer wake up. Daniel as usual disappeared and  the WP loose trio was better - ou munher of course got it all wrong.

This is truly hilarious. A young understrength WP side hammers the sharks in the guppie tank. The ref was clearly favouring the homeside making a number of errors.

But I enjoyed the depleted WP taking complete charge in the second half.

All hail man of the match Deon Fourie! Three times the player that daniel is. Etzebeth could be man of the match as well. He was magnificent.

Hope you enjoyed the game sharkies!!!!!!!

WP forwards never smashed us. Our problem was that we had wonr 2 out of 10 lineouts before Burden was subbed. Lineouts are your set piece and platform to attack. You can never win a game winning by losing 80% of your lineouts.

Sharks forwards were stronger in the scrums but Province just kept putting the ball out as our lineouts were a shambles. Deon Fourie was not man of the match in my opinion. Etzebeth was. He set up the platform for province with his lineout play.

All that said and done and it came down to a mistake from Ludik that ultimately cost us the game. He just needed to carry on running. Joe Pietersen left him way too early and he threw the pass...Noooooo Ludik!!

Had the Sharks managed to win 80% of their lineouts which is to be expected, things might/would have been very different. Field position is everything and province dominated that by being superior at lineout time.. Anyway, that one is in the record books. WP had a plan and Sharks for some silly reason, went away from what had been working all year..Cudos to WP... Enjoy the occasion.

Boklogic if Bekker had been playing you may have lost 100% of your lineouts. Also if Lliebenberg had been playing you would have had no edge in the scrums at all- an edge tha tprogessively disappered as i thappens. If burger and Elstadt had been there pou would have been wiped out. if Koster, Jean and Habana etc etc been fit it would have been a complete rout. IF.

Hahahahahahaha  These guppie sucked up their own hype.

I see on some ohter boards sharkie oaks who were chest beating for all they were worth for two weeks or more have so sportingly congratualte WP and are making a virtue of it. Man what else can they do! hahahahhahaha

Beeno loving it!. The when we's are no longer when we's according to these complete planks.

You bulle who won the under 21 comp just realise you were sooooo lucky you didnt have 6 guys fom our senior side playing - we would have wiped you guys out!!

Now before ou Mike and hakwa complain that I love nobody I have to sa yi love you all. How they can say such a thing after all my efforts to explain matters pertaining to rugby is a mystery!!

Muncher will no doubt recover in time and say the sharks needed more players like daniel!! Hahhahahahahahahahaha - how the sharks backline would rip us apart. bwahahahhahahahahahaha

How we had no backline yet scored the only try - Bwahhahahahahaha

Hilarious stuff for sure.

Anyhow I do hope everyone enjoyed the final as much as me!

Ha ha Beeno, I do love you smack talk at times but did it ever occur to you that the Sharks just messed up and played the wrong game plan..

We have beaten WP 4 out of 6 this year and surely you realise that previous games you have had Koster, Liebenberg, Bekker, Kolisi and all the "game changers" you have just mentioned. Let me tell you 1 thing...If the Sharks had Bismarck, not a ton of players, just Bismarck, we would not have lost that many lineouts. Burden is a good player but he is not a lineout thrower. Never has been since switching to hooker.

Dont pin the scrums on Ntubeni. The props are just as much to blame. Burden is also a lighter weight hooker...The Sharks front row is man for man simply better than that of the Stormers/WP.. We proven it too many times this year. Kyle Cooper should have started for the SHarks at hooker. I heard Burden had not played in a while and they throw him into the final...Madness!!

i aggree boklogic....sharks had bad match day tactics played into the hands of WP...if they sticked to the tryed and tested game pattern they could have taken it. but congrats to Wp they played well in there way and won it

I think there were some really weak links in the Sharks team and that really cost them the game.  People are right to point at the line-outs.  The problem was the total inaccuracy of Burden in throwing in of the balls.   He was apparently instructed not to through anywhere near Etzebeth  - so he buggered up badly with the throw-ins.   That virtually handed the balls over to WP.

The other issues relates to scrummaging and the performance of the props.   There were only two scrums where the Sharks were really successful in destroying the WP forwards - both leading to penalties.   For the rest the WP scrum did well enough and in the end even won a tighthead.   The overwhelming superiority we expected from the scrummaging was just not there.   In any event in driving forward play the young WP props did much better than their Sharks counterparts - Mlherbe in particular had a very good game in this aspect of the game.

Insofar as Daniel is concerned he reamins a good loosie when on the run with the ball - but there always have been nagging doubts about other aspects of his play.   He has not shown much in the last two games in the CC and was even given a yellow card in the one game.   I think we put too much faith in the way the Sharks played against the miserable Bulls team and based our predictions more on that game than we should have.   The Bulls by a miracle made the semi-finals and we should not have based our predictions on that game.

Iinsofar as backline play is concerned - there is one aspect where I give the Stormers loosies much credit.  They managed to restrain Reinach remarkably well and the result was a service to Lambie that was not really top class.   The real key to the Stormers backline play was Catrakillis and De Alliende.   The latter really showed promise - everytime he was tackled he made absolutely sure that WP retain possession and his off-loads was really very good.   On defence he was sound.   Catrakillis by his play left the field open for the flash in the pan De Jongh's try.   The defence expected the ball to go to De Allende and lined up their defence accordingly - but Catrakillis passed the ball inside to De Jongh leaving the field virtually clear for De Jongh to score.    The try was therefore due to poor defence rather than anything else.

I really am sorry to see Catrakillis moving to the Queens.  He was very sound the whole CC season and would have made a difference in next years Super series.  To my mind Jantjies is a poor investment and retention of Catrakillis would have been better.

On the day WP played better than the Sharks and they thoroughly deserve their win.   Would that have been the case if De Villiers played - I doubt it very much - especially bearing in mind that unexpected try by De Jongh.   Catrakillis would have been required to pass the ball to De Villiers and the outcome would have been a dead ball and no try.
