As an ex prop I would be more than happy with both the technique and result. He was facing the right way and i t did head in the general direction of the posts.

I remember the drop kick, I remember the look on his face afterwards even better...head in his hands and the dismay on his face.
Matt is a really nice bloke, I quite often bump into him during my lunch break and I've risked stirring him about it, must say he takes it well.
