Saturday around 7pm after the last Super Rugby game.

Let's give the oke a fair chance before we write him off as a failure. One thing we know, we can't blame Coetzee if he picks a whole bunch of quota players. Sounds like he has no say in that matter. Rather blame the politicians who have far too much say in our sport.

Very interested to see who Coetzee names as his captain.

The rant begins already. It must be nice to be a NZ fan among other NZ fans who support their team and their coach,

I'd happily support Coetzee if I rated him as a coach and thought he was clearly the best man for the job.

He would not feature on my list of 10 candidates for the Bok coach job.

Has achieved nothing as a coach and advocated a boring style of play. Just look what happened to Jantjies under him at the Stormers. Jantjies is the same player then as he is now.

I have no confidence in him at all.

Dave it doesn't matter who is Bok coach you would eventually find fault. For you the chosen players are never wrong, only the coaches. That after years of support for some of the biggest flops in Bok rugby. Hell you are still picking Coenie.....it's beyond belief.

I've seen this movie before, and I know how it ends. Same old script.

None of my choices have been flops.....if Ackerman and Swys had been chosen as the Bok coaching pair, I'd be over the moon

I have no issue with Coenie at all.....but Malherbe and Marcel are my first choices at tighthead, so what's your point on Coenie?

Need I remind you that you were over the moon when Heyneke Meyer was chosen as well.

Yeah I was but I was foolish enough to ignore his years in the coaching wilderness which soon became apparent when he started his Bok stint.

His biggest problem having not coached for a few years was that he was out of touch with how the game should be played and clearly out of touch with the players at his disposal given his flawed investment in washed up has beens. By the time he had woken up to the classy young talent about, it was too late for him. The horse had bolted.

At least Meyer had credentials leading into the role, albeit out of date.....Coetzee does not have that as a starting point and his last few seasons with the Stormers were disastrous......telling me his current is not a good sign.

Its just so sad that with all the great young talent about, evidenced by our top 4 Super sides comparing favourably with the Kiwi sides in terms of table points, that we will be handicapped by an average coach bound by a quota system......the negatives are twofold.......we have no chance in hell.

I can see it now.....Paige at 9, de Jongh at 13, JP and Mvovo on the wings......with the likes of Orie in the squad.

I had such high expectations when it came to Meyer.....never has a coach been such an anti climax.......maybe with my low expectations of Coetzee, he will surprise me in a positive way.....here's hoping

Everyone deserves a fair go, soon Coetzee's honeymoon will be over and he'll be challenged like no other rugby coach on the planet. As if  a mandatory 50% POC isn't challenging enough.
