only  0.03 separate the boks from the  All Blacks. Not sure what to make of these numbers to be honest.

NZ beat the boks in the World  Cup and played to a draw against them during the championship.

The boks played no games in 2020  but NZ lost  to both Argentina and Australia.

However, NZ only lost 1 /12 where the boks lost 4/10.

2 against Australia, 1 NZ and 1 against the Lions, but the lions don't count towards world rankings.

But if you look at NZ opposition and who they  faced all year then it makes it look better than it is.

They played, Fiji, Italy, Tonga and USA.  All who are no threat at the moment.

I think NZ  has two tough games in the next couple of weeks. Ireland and France.

Not sure whether either of the northern hemisphere teams has what it takes to beat NZ.

So my question remains, are NZ right to be number 1 or is it the Boks?

The rules are the rules…..the Boks are the number one team and will likely remain so until at least the next RC.

No Mozart, the boks  are still number 2. Because NZ beat Wales by more  than 16 points, the managed to get the points, but it was against a weekend Welsh team.

My mistake, I thought I saw somewhere that we were number 1 again after beating Wales. And I  agree it was a very weak  Welsh team.

Still we probably have a slightly easier path for the rest of the NH matches so we have a shot at regaining the number one position….and whoever does that should hold it till the RC because the NH  teams who are playing more tests, are well behind.
