Let’s hope that is because Rassie wants to retain Willemse at 12 at all costs - fingers crossed - team announcement tomorrow

Sure I expect it by tomorrow afternoon.

I think the study of the advanced computer program tracking of every player in the Argentine set-up has been tracked and weak and strong points discovered - and a game plan compiled with due regard to the stronmg and weak elements so discovered. Rassie is addicted to hat program and so is Jones - is he already in South Africa or when wil he return to SA, He is in the same positon as to the plan referred to.

The next phase is to select the team and start trining them to execitre the game plan. So we will know the team by tomorrow.

Yes, hope so. Willemse popped up at inside centre to score that exceptional try which pretty much ended the All Blacks' chance of victory.

We need some firepower and pace from 15. Willie Leroux is done, a spent force that is way past his sell-by date.

Willie is part of Erasmus coaching program and so is Pollard and Kolisi. They often are in the coaching box when not playing in tests as part of their development as coaches, The team will be selected with due regard to the strong points of the Argentina team and their flyhalfs and centers are very good in strategc attacking play, So I am not goin g to make any predictions as to player selections. Remember during the apst two years the A B's lost tests against the Pumas and so did S A last yeaar whena sub -standad team was sent to palt the away tests and the teams election will take that into account as well.

That is why I believe that Sacha will start at flyhalf and Willemse may start at full back and if neded move to cente in the ase where the Spring boks have ball possession ctarting a further attscking option throgh vtrsyopm pf pv;spd on atatcking options.

Bur then I may be wrong and so may be the other site experts and I will wait and see what happens /

SPOTLIGHT: Willie le Roux’s role for the Springboks this week could potentially be a glimpse into the future of the Test centurion.

Le Roux’s call-up to the Bok squad, but not being up for selection against Argentina, raised some eyebrows amongst the rugby public.

He will return to the Bulls on Wednesday, ahead of their United Rugby Championship opener against the Ospreys.

It is not the first time players have been sent back to their franchises midweek, ahead of a Test, but there is a good reason in Le Roux’s case.

We have seen the likes of Duane Vermeulen sitting in the coaches’ box during the latter stages of his playing career.

He has since made the transition from playing to coaching for the SA Rugby Mobi unit, utilising his experience to serve as the glue between the Bok coaches and many of his former teammates.

Le Roux could well be on his way to walk a similar path.

The double world champion is heading into his twilight years and will, in all likelihood, not be part of the playing squad come World Cup 2027.

Bok attack coach Tony Brown explained Le Roux’s role with the team this week.

His role could indicate that he’ll possibly be a player-coach for the time being before making the switch to coaching post-retirement.

“Willie [le Roux] is a massive part of our squad and massively experienced,” Brown said.

“Especially when you have young players at flyhalf and fullback.

“He comes in to provide a helping hand around, preparing for a Test match of this level.

“He understands the game and the conditions.

“Him just competing against the guys at training, which makes our team better.

“It’s always good to have him in, and even though he won’t be playing this week, his value is huge, and it’s always good to see him.”

Many players could also follow in Le Roux’s path who are nearing the end of their playing days.

Guys like Faf de Klerk, Bongi Mbonambi, and Makazole Mapimpi could all have a future role in the team off the pitch.

Not every great player will become a great coach, but their value to the next generation could ensure that Bok rugby stays healthy for years to come.

Exactly what I was driving at, Another person in line for scrumcoaching is Malherbe - but he is back with the Stiormers squad and may play matches for them and also play a role as developing coach.
