Following your call to drop Amla, I'm fully expecting a drop AB call. Does anybody doubt, failing Amla we would be facing the real prospect of a third Pom win. Way to go you old coot. You already have a candidate for dumbest call of 2016.

Don't talk crap. It is hard for you not to - because you normally talk crap as a rule.

Consistency is being asked for and quite rightly so......ie the same people who called for Amla's axing should now be calling for AB's axing. Or don't the same rules apply???

This is ridiculous - can you read? The above was written says everything clearly "and I think Amla and Duminy will have to pull up their socks drastically or they will jave to go as well"
The stupid old idiot did not even notice that the above was written before Amla's resignation as test captain and his decision to concentrate on his batting - but it never says unconditionally that he must go.
Consistency consists of logic. Anla failed in a long series of games when the above was written. De Villiers failed in the last two tests and was not consistently poor in a series of tests over a longish period like Amla was.
What is wrong with you? Mozart turns out to be the Board idiot - why constantly supporting his idiocy?

De Villiers has had 3 ducks in a row besides his performance in India was poor. I don't recall Amla having 3 ducks. Question now hangs as to whether he is suffering the same strains as Amla since taking on the captaincy. There is an opinion that AB is not a test captain. I disagree.

Can we at least all agree that there IS some good talent coming through? Bavuma is the most attractive new batter I've seen some time. Radaba is gonna gain another 5-8km/h and is already very consistent. So, it may be early days but looks.pike we have Steyn's replacement and a new solid 5/6 who looks like he'll play, the shorter format also.
Two weeks ago we were all stressed put that there was no talent around.
Oh, we seem not to want to mention David Wiese as an all rounder option to replace Duminy. Closest thing to Klusner...actually probably a better batsman who hits the ball further. To be fair, I haven't watched him much this season. But what I saw last year was epic. Surprised he never went to the WC really.
Anyway, we lost this series. And the one in India, but i think we need to stop being so negative. South African fans really are the most negative bunch ever. When we beat England in England, people there never acted like it was the end of the world. Neither did Australia. They got their heads down and carried on. It's almost like some of us want SA sport to decline. Let's not forget that we hqve a sterling Test record over the last ten years. Maybe we can lose a series or too before we wanna take our team.out back and shoot em. No?
Honestly, I'm excited for the new team. I want Rossouw in and a new all-rounder. I also want De Cock to be vice captain. And take over in two years. Mad i know.
Oh and congrats KG...13 wickets!!!

I agree with you about what you write above - it is a breath of fresh air with serious logic incorporated.
I think both Rossouw and Wiese are serious selections for the ODI squad. I am a bit disappointed with Miller - he is a big hitter of balls - but rarely makes enough runs to justify his inclusion in the playing squad.
If I have to pick an ODI starting line-up for the upcoming series I would include the following in the team:-
AmlaDe KockRossouwDe VilliersMillerBehardienWieseSteynRabada MorkelTahir
I will not select Bavuma - he is really not an ODI player. If they insist on him - he should replace the on and mostly off Miller.

Captaincy seems a bit of poisoned chalice at the moment , I don't see any natural captains there despite some very talented playersCompare this to when we were flying and there were quite a few leaders (Kallis, Smith, Boucher)Hopefully some of these will start to show these leadership qualities

Now Tokkie says Bavuma is not an ODI player....three weeks ago he said: " ...they can do without Bavuma", speaking of the test side. The facts Humungous and Pervert got Bavuma wrong, and they haven't had the guts to just fess up. He may not be a test great, but he has been one of our most consistent run getters.

What did you ever get right either in cricket or rugby? Preciously little. Mostly you are totally wrong in your comments - especially when you get vicious about individual players by inventing totally inappropriate nicknames for them.

Nice team Mike. I'd swap Tahir for Parnel though. For an Odd,squad that tail is a tad long :)

Rabada and Morkel need a rest, done a lot of bowling in those tests. Maybe give some chances to Viljoen, the all rounder Dwaine Pretorius, Van Schalkwyk, etc

I'm surprised Dwaine Pretorius hasn't got a look in at all, he's an all rounder in the Ben Stokes mould, and a seam bowling all rounder is absolute gol dust
