Wow Beast climbs into Jake

France would have been easier for us than it was for New Zealand. New Zealand itself was more in our favour. They were nearly nilled in South Africa and weren't playing great rugby throughout that season. That said, if the ref debacle didn't kill us against Australia, we'd have faced it again in the final. France were robbed blind. 

Note Herr Draht, it was Nienaber's defence which was the biggest change to the team. Whoever was coaching the team prior to that point was a complete buffoon. Who could forget the compressed line, with Jean on the wing. He had to cover all that open space as we encouraged them to go wide! Suicide, not only suicide but a total disregard for the attributes of the player performing that role. Jean was shredded. Not his fault, even our fastest wings would have struggled. Nienaber was the man. 

Nienaber played his role very well - but he was not the only man in town,  The coaching team as a whole also did very well.   However, in the final analysis that the man in charge with the winning ideas was Erasmus.    

The biggest change to the team was what Erasmus achieved and that is to lift the team from despondency to word beaters,        

The Boks were criticized for not having enough variation in their game to defeat Australia in spite of the poor reffing. None other than the 2007 World Cup winning coach - according to you - Eddie Jones. He exclaimed the flatter lines by Morné, but the predictability of those patterns installed by the coach - Rassie, according to you. 

Let us travel through time... Rassie, the head coach. The same story. A defence guru forming the spine of the Bok blueprint. Poor attack.

Don't worry Schmutz, I'll write to Santa for you. For all the laughter you have brought me this year, he'll give you two, not one, lumps of coal this Christmas. Take that load-shedding!

Spot-on Moz. It sums up Mallett and exposes him as another pretender who had more bark but a lot less bite. Other than a drop goal strategy he had nothing......he's fooled a few on here, Jake had a gameplan fa r more strategic than Mallet's basic drop goals.

Mallett was unfortunate to coach the Boks through a huge shift within this course of the game. Were he to have ended his tennis before it, I'd have ranked him higher. As it was, he was horribly exposed for his poor analytics and inflexible tactics as well as inability to successful install new system she has attempted to imitate. He wasn't without his strengths as a forward thinking man, but as head coach he was exposed. He is not a good technical coach, his poor calls as a pundit indicate that this hasn't changed over time. Mallett is well behind Jake, Meyer and even Rassie. Is say, from an x's and o's point of view, so too Coetzee. 

The fact is the worst game ever played by SA in any WC since 1995 was not the Aussie game in 1999. but the Japan game in 2015.   The other problem was in the 2011 WC series - by far the worst point scoring series and especially by some distance the worst try-scoring WC series SA was in.   

The main failing in 2011 was the total malfunctioning of the Springbok backline in that series,  No wonder - the experienced forwards really took over the coaching role - with De Villers being the figure-head.

In 2015 the 10 man rugby approach was clear in especially the RC and the WC.  It as also the year when the forwards in the try-scoring stakes came near to scoring an equal number of tries to those scored by backline players,       

Didn't Mallett come up with the ingenious idea of inviting Fijians to play in South Africa with the long term plan of playing for the Boks? 

Lügnerin, the worst game was the 2003 All Black game. It was the least competitive showing. I know you can't for a moment keep your dummy in your mouth, but we must at least try to be honest here. Perhaps if you kept better company. 

Funny how the very people who predicted Jake's and the Boks failure at RWC 2007 U turned after the win and gave credit to Eddie Jones and further claim the other reason the Boks won is because they hadn't faced Oz and NZ.

Jones wasn't even mentioned as a possible reason why the Boks could win but as soon as they did the rabbit popped its head.

The mind boggles in disbelief.
