Official: Total RANKERS - Super Rugby 2019 - Round 2

Hi RuckersWow, what a great start to the Super Rugby season.
We are overwhelmed by the amount of people partaking in the Total Rankers competition.
So very few of us predicted perfectly. Well done to Nishakalaka, Rooinek, xavi and Your Pal Al for getting their predictions spot on.
We've also learned a few things which we will implement during the RWC tournament with regards to point allocations.
So as we head into week 2, please dont forget to make your picks before Thursday evening.
NOTE: A few Ruckers already made their picks for week 2 on Sunday night . We had to remove those picks unfortunatly as we had not updated the new rankings. We've corrected the issue going forward.
Have a great week.
Yours in ruggaEd

Great to see a lot of guys taking part, and a couple of new names too. I must admit to something incredibly embarrassing. In my haste to get my selections in, I didn't read the rules properly. I thought the scores would be tallied by rank, not just the three points for a win. In other words, I selected three teams lower down the rankings thinking the accumulated ranking score of the winning teams, would be my score for the round. Had I not been such a noob, I would have selected one or two more of the "sure things". I was going to keep quiet about my idiocy, especially when bearing in mind that I got involved in the discussion with Admin, Rooiters and ABasque about potential rule changes. But the truth is, I am pretty forgetful, so there is a reasonable chance I'll let my gaff slip at some point anyway , so I figured I'd come clean. Oh well, I still called two out of three, so it could have been worse. Bring on the next round.

Blue, in the words of Meat Loaf, "two out of three ain't bad".
It's like the other day I was grumbling about being load-shedded and one of my colleagues reminded me that I still had water and I hadn't been mugged so 66% is an excellent score in South Africa.

Moffie was too gutless to join Total Rankers but it's probably a good thing. His Alpha-Gimp Dense at least had the guts to join but he was the one player to score a fat zero so you can only imagine how pathetic Moffie and some of his other Gimps like DumbAss, Omlett and Baboon-ou would have been if they'd summoned up the courage to play (use your imagination here).
I know Baboon-ou's name is there but remember, those were default picks that Ed gave him because he indicated he would play only to find out that he didn't have the cranial capacity to actually make selections . . . and then he officially chickened out.

Denny joined? I didn't notice. Good for him.

The season is a long one. Let's hope he doesn't suddenly get all his predictions right and kick all our asses.

Klown, just a heads up to you and the other guys (like me) who had made picks for round 2 already, Ed mentioned in an earlier post that he had to scrap those picks because the rankings hadn't been updated so if you didn't see that, you have to make your picks for round 2 again.
PS Scrap that, I just checked the leaderboard and I see you are up to speed.

Good luck to those who participate in this competition.

As for myself, I will give this one a pass because I do not know the overseas SupeRugby teams well enough to make any prediction ... and I have no desire to study those teams..

I enjoy the growth or decline in our Conference teams and does not care whatsoever what the detailed development in those overseas teams is.

"but he was the one player to score a fat zero"

Typical of our resident twat

Piss Mint.....You have bleated and literally begged all and sundry, for years now, about joining these rugby competitions of yours, on Superbru, Fantasy Rugby, now this new competition here...…….. and yet.... after Denny's very very first pick in this new competition...... you ridicule him and try and make fun of him in front of the other posters.

It's like the other day when I gave Cupcake that compliment, to see if my suspicions were correct about him, and fuck me I was spot on...…. he reacted in anger then, just like you have reacted with childish and immature insults here...… the bitterness runs deep with you two

What a fucking cheap shot this was

Good luck going forward Denny

DumbAss, if the people who had the guts to enter this comp want to have a little banter between themselves about their respective performances then that is pretty much the intention of this and other Fantasy/Prediction comps . . . and we really don't need to be lectured by the sour, cowardly and rugby-ignorant noobs who didn't have the decency or the balls to take part.
I gave Dense credit for at least having the guts to join which is a heck of a lot more than I can say for the rest of you Servile Gimps (except Draad) or your precious Masssster.
Why did you click on this thread anyway? Were you too stupid to know that a topic titled "Total Rankers" would be about . . . ummmmm . . . the Total Rankers competition?
Huh chump?

LMAO

For the record, I clicked on the link to see how the guys have done after the first week

I don't have the time to involve myself in the compo, but I certainly do have the interest to see how the guys are doing...… does that make any sense at all to you?

So yeah, the very last thing I expected, even from you, was you taking the piss out of a poster who actually decided to enter the competition, but then you insult him after the very first round.

You really couldn't wait hey...…..after the first fucking round already...... the "banter" / insults, childishness starts.

Now it's banter I see......…. you call how you treat Denny as banter, or is it just in this very post alone?

LMFAO

You have been shown up again for the real and clear twat that you are, and now you try and say it is a little banter...…. so you go from posting pictures of his dead brother, and ridiculing how he looks as a person, to some gentle banter, after he gets zero after his very first pick, in a game that you beg everyone to join..... LMFAO, yeah ok

Den will be just fine. This was just the first round, which is always a complete lucky packet anyway. As the season goes forward the picks become more and more educated because there is more and more real data upon which to base one's selections.

"I don't have the time to involve myself in the compo"
Playing in this comp requires a grand total of 7 clicks of the mouse every week . . . probably less than a minute (for anyone other than Baboon-ou) . . . and certainly a lot less time than it takes you to type up any one of your sanctimonious, boring and obsessive posts which you post multiple times a day.
Try again, DumbAss.

Wait a moment ... me react in "anger" ... it will surprise you to know that I hardly ever react in anger on here.

Why would I?

My response to you wasn't in anger ... what made you think that? ... in fact ... I don't think I've ever been angry with you.

Wow ... you probably think I walk around fuming all day ... every day ... that my family ... my work colleagues ... my hounds ... tippy-toe around me.

LOL!!!

No ... sorry to disappoint you ... but I'm usually pretty laid back ... this is a rugby forum ... it's not the be all and end all of my life ... my name isn't Mozart ...I have a life.

I guess that means that most of your posts were posted in anger then, right?

You know, having just escaped death, one would think that working yourself up to the point of a 200 pule rate isn't the wisest thing to do.

In fact I have the solution for all your woes ... the next time you feel like jumping off the nearest bridge ... or running your 1956 Beetle over a beggar at the traffic lights ... merely scream out the name "CLLLLLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAN CUTTTTTTTT" at the top of your voice and all will be good with the world again.

See ... ?

Oh Piss Mint

Unlike you, I really do prefer to do things with 100% commitment, other than just doing it so you can brag to others, like you do...… hey I did it...… hey, look how well I did everyone.

I don't have time to research the players current form, nor any new team dynamics week in, and week out,, so I will rather remain out of it, so insult me all you want...….I will just stick to watching how the rest of our posters perform, without judging them, you know.....like you do.

Remember, when you "apparently" played Denny in a few games of chess and then bragged religiously almost every year to everyone on here, about how you apparently "completely kicked his ass"

That was just another example of your character traits...….. a wolf in sheep's clothing which can never be trusted

Yeah Piss Mint, you certainly are classified as low class stock

"I don't have the time to involve myself in the compo"

LMAO!
Come on DumbAss, man up for once in your sad and pathetic life and tell us the real reason you didn't enter . . . it's because you haven't got the first clue about rugby and you don't care about rugby, you only hang around this rugby forum because you're a pitiful loser with no real interests in life other than pointing your finger in a state of trembling indignation and uncontrollable rage.
Go on, you can admit it. We all know it anyway.

Of course Peeper was going to attack Denny the moment he started: 'Manipulation These people are masters of manipulation; it is one of the best tricks in their bag. It’s also a strong characteristic of a sociopath. They use manipulation as a tool every day to get the results they want, whether that means a promotion, a new relationship, more money, or to get revenge on a person. But their use of manipulation is most used on family members and close loved ones, such as partners and children. ' Invite denny to sign up and then try to humiliate him.....right from the sociopath's playbook.

you both, the adults of the room who use to mock of the game and the people who are playing it,... you only come here to bring your personal wars,.... your personal wars seems to be the most adult thing for both of you

what rooi has said is a nice exchange of words compared with what the Moffie usually does here,.... that's to really try to humillate the others,... and he dares to accuse others of what he's master at,.... speaks volume of hipocrisy

you both have filled up the rest of the site with your insults in your personal wars,.... but still have the imperious need of spoiling these Fantasy threads with your BS?

If I may. I see ou Koosie has whipped himself into a frenzy over some fantasy competitions, why I don't understand, it's suppose to be fun, even calling out those who don't participate as cowards and not having guts. He obviously has no idea what it means to have guts. Guts Koosie, is when you leave the country of your birth, say goodbye to family and friends and with not a cent to your name you settle in a foreign land......or guts is when you look the perpetrators of death in the eye when they threaten to take away your livelyhood and without a blink of the eye, say....."You do that."

Guts has sweet f/all to do with joining a rugby comp.

I'm not sure where he comes onto bantering with me, I really didn't sign up for that, I signed up out of respect for the efforts of the Ed. When was it decided that there'll be rivalry between us?

To be honest I rarely watch teams in Super Rugby other than our own so I don't really know the strength of the teams and I don't really care whether I gain a single point from any of my selections or whether I finish stone cold last. Now that I know what he's on about I can safely assume that the banter will deteriorate into slagging off my family. I joined the competition without any fuss or fanfare after missing R1 but of course Koos had to make a big deal out of it, just like the ANC,  everything turns to  shit once Koosie gets involved.

So erm umm Koosie, you can have all the banter you want but I'm afraid you'll be having it with yourself.

Ed, you can remove my name from the entries after R2....tx.

Moffie ... it really astounds me how easy you are to read.

It's always been about you ... I saw that when I read your first post an age ago ... even with those you call your mates ... you come first ... and after all these years, nothing has changed.

You don't have their welfare at heart ... never have ... and they're too damn stupid to see it.

Your ... "Played Denny, couldn't have said it better myself" ... was that said to encourage further attacks on Redneck ... or was that you celebrating Denny's decision to quit the game?

Of course you'll be cheering Denny on to quit ... at least now you'll have a "mate" by your side ... you won't be alone ... what a giant sized prick you are.

A friend would have supported Denny ... would have encouraged him to accept Redneck's challenge ... would have motivated him to shut Redneck up ... but instead ... you thought of yourself first ... you thought of how you'd look standing on the outside while the rest of us played the game.

Denny is prone to giving up on things ... prone to declining challenges ... and yet he signed on this time ... a first ... if he were my mate I would have cheered him on to give it his best shot ... whatever he outcome.

Not you ... you had no intention of playing this game ... and so why not cheer you "mates" on to fail ... to give up ... to be like you.

Thank god I don't know you personally.
