It was not my comments, I copied and pasted it from the article. In saying that, I don't see what is wrong with the comment of the journalist.

Christians do celebrate Good Friday. Why else would it be called "Good" and a public holiday. Given Jesus was hung, perhaps it would be more appropriate to call it B ad Friday and Good Sunday when he is resurrected- at least as legend has it...

Wrong and wrong. It’s embarrassing I have to explain this again:

1 Patients aren’t customarily ‘killed’ in hospitals, sometimes they unfortunately die.

2 It’s called Good Friday in the sense of ‘holy’ Friday, not that the events were good. It’s not celebrated, Good Friday is commemorated  and Easter Sunday is celebrated.

I think the context is being killed by the virus, not by the hospital. Although it could perhaps have been written better as it is ambiguous.

"" Many people in different countries celebrate the anniversary of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion, and death on the Friday before Easter Sunday.  This is an observance that involves people fasting and praying. "
Why not just call it holy Friday instead of Good Friday. Would you want the day of your death to get called Good Mozart Death day?
Surely it would be more appropriate to just start the bank holiday weekend on Saturday.Although it could be like an Irish funeral when people dance with a corpse to commemorate.

Some Christians also eat and drink Jesus. Bread is his body and wine is his blood. Their last Supper is Jesus.

commemorate/k??m?m?re?t/Learn to pronounceverbpast tense: commemorated; past participle: commemorated
  1. recall and show respect for (someone or something)."a wreath-laying ceremony to commemorate the war dead"
    • mark or celebrate (an event or person) by doing or producing something."the victory was commemorated in songs"

* I am an anti-theist which means I do not actually believe Jesus existed, or if he did he was just a person that was not actually reincarnated.
It is no different if Muslims was celebrating Mohammed's birth or death. It is irrelevant to me.

Best just to laugh Shark....these bloopers can’t be rationalized away. Think of it this way....nobody celebrates the death of Kennedy or Ghandi, but they do commemorate them. The same is true for the followers of particular religious leaders.

But if you come across any hospital that deliberately kills it’s patients, it’s best to avoid it.

...You can understand the confusion when Fat Donny himself  has wished all of America a happy crucifixion day in fool capitals just a couple of weeks ago...

Wishing someone a happy Good Friday is like saying “Happy Pearl Harbor Day!” or “Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Assassination Day!” It demonstrates a recognition that a day is important but without grasping the significance. That was why, even by his own standards, President Trump’s tweet commemorating one of the holiest days of the year for most Christians was jarring. “HAPPY GOOD FRIDAY TO ALL!” read the message, written on the president’s iPhone in his signature all-caps-and-an-exclamation-point style.
