The point is, if you make guns illegal,  only the criminals will have them....and the "Police" will be the only ones to protect us. They can't even apply traffic laws! Look at the taxi's obeying the laws??? WTF.

If 2 of the people in the Christchurch mosk had rifles, I bet a lot less people got killed on that dreadful day.

We don't have a gun problem, we have  a people problem. When was the last mass shooting in Switzerland?

Society is focusing on the wrong things. The more you try to control people, the more you lose control.

All of this comes back to my remark that all this shyte is down to a fucked up society and not down to fucked up gun laws, guns, knives, bombs, cars, booze, etc.

Thanks for all the information on guns, however, I couldn't be bothered reading all of it, it's enough for me to know that the choice of mass shooters is an automatic weapon. So let's say I agree with you on your above comment.. but then you and Draad just leave it at that and offer no solution. 

When was the last time the UK and Australia experienced a mass shooting as compared to say the USA? 

Do you believe NZ has it wrong in banning automatic and semi-automatic weapons?

Shark  they arm themselves ...and trust me they will be armed next time. They should have the right to protect themselves against extremists...just like we should.

Laws are just as good as they can be enforced. We cannot leave our well being in the hands of government.

No, it can only work within a lawful society. They actually don't need the guns. 

In a lawless society, its a good thing that gun sales is thoroughly regulated. I'm against a total ban. A law is only as good as it can be enforced.
