How many times has he issued some sort of verbal threat and not followed through on it. Even away from the Russia-Ukraine war how many times in his trade negotiations has Trump delayed implementing tariffs or backed out when faced with push back.
Yes he still could do so, but I'd very surprised if he did.
I have seen this happen far too many times already, from junior mangement to senior management, to CEO's.... to national ministers, all the way up to presidents ......
Sometimes the feelers or directives are put out, to see exactly what kind of push back there is or could be....and also to see from where that push back is coming from ..... because it puts you in good stead with being more prepared, going forward from there.
I don't believe there is anything at all wrong with doing that, provided that at some point, if whatever is happening does still continue, that you do actually implement what you said you were going to at some point.... but I have no issue at all with delaying it at times.
So the Russian's hit a US companies electronic factory in Ukraine. Show's how little protection the minerals deal offers Ukraine. The idea that Russia won't attack Ukraine in the future if American commercial assets are in Ukraine has always been nonsense.
J,M,&Joseph .... Putin's got a hold on Batshit2

Right now the present deal seems to be that in exchange for Ukraine handing over the Donbass (and thus the Fortress Belt) they get security guarantees from Europe and the US. I do not believe that's a good deal, losing the fortress belt leaves Ukraine too exposed to further Russian aggression even with the security guarantees (which at this present moment in time are quite vague).
You apparently do not know what is happening as to the security issue, On Trump sugge\stion as to security meeting under the leadership of the US Joint Head of Staff and comprising all the generals of Army heads from the Meeting on Monday (including of Ukraine will develop a seciruy plan which would provided to actions to follw if Russia breach the pace agreement, The agreement will deal wth weaponry needs to counter Russia when it comes to breaching any agreement involved.
Is it not better to army specialists and not politicians would deermine what shpould happen if Russiia breach the potential peace agreement, It is not possible to keep army attacks because of sattelite usage and before any major move by the Russian A rmy the SA in particular would know and there would be a an approved action plan to follow,
I do agree the rpesent statements are weak on the issue - but the leaders of the NATO Armies involved will not be surprised by breaches and an action plan is in plae detailing conter actions to be taken. At this stage their is a simplstic aplan saying troops should be on he ground in Ukrane - but no action plan is available - which would be only leading to chaos,
The Gereals involved will work out what will be feasable and what not, I have no proof - but I feel the Turkeys army command will also be at the Army Command meeting in Washington - beause Trkey has the best trained and second biggest army in NATO and will obviously have a role to play if NATO acts against a breach of a potential greement breach by Russia, That may stop Ukraine from breaching the agreement as well necause that would indeed meet te end of Ukraine a an indepndent ccountry,
The fact is are you against a comprehensive security plan be compiled by experts to ensure there is an action plan if breach or breaches occur? Mostt of the filth commanding the US Army has been emoved o left the Army to work as lobyists for the A rms industry in Washington, One Admiral who left thes ervice was even charge and found guilty of corrution and there are others on the waitng list to go to ail as well. So what wiill come from the Security Conference in Washington Cinferene will be of major importance in the negotiation process,
