Nice car, but my boots will ruin it...fantastic car actually, but I would probably still drive a bakkie even if I could ever afford a Ferrari...might consider an old Mustang or some in that vein if I  had some spare cash lying around.

Scariest car to drive Ferrari F40 ....no traction control, a light body and a torque peak like the Eiffel Tower. Next the Jag Mk2s under breaking....hopelessly nose heavy. And any of the pre slip control, 2 wheel drive 911s in the snow.

Most fun the 1968 Alfa GTV/Ferrari Dino.......most disappointing the Lamborghini Diablo/ MP412c..biggest thrill the F40.....most stable at speed the Enzo....most versatile the Mercedes S63 cabriolet.....the most stunning first view,  the  Lamborghini Muira in orange at Earls Court....best sense of flying the Suzuki GSXR 1000.
Most depressing....my first drive in a Tesla.

I understand the GSXR 1000 comment to a T....I experienced intense joy the first time i went for a ride. Pity it's so dangerous...I sold my bike when I started a family....still have the yearning after 16 years.

Weird thread . . . it started off as a comment about search engines, then it turned into a discussion on games, then Plumchum made it into a comprehension test that he failed miserably and finally Moffie decided it was the right place to tell everyone about all the cars he allegedly owns and all the supercars he's allegedly driven while his Alpha Gimp clapped and squealed with delight.

Nothing weird at all about this thread actually

The thread just naturally starts moving into the direction where Piss Mint starts to insult multiple posters again

Nothing unusual there...... irrespective of which part of the forum the thread is in

    I'm with you Draad.

    Utility over speed.

A sports car doesn't get me nearly as excited as a 6 ton double cab truck.

Also, I don't trust my driving enough to go anywhere near fast haha.

Most people don't like driving with me.

If you guys haven't tried World of Tanks on console you should, easier than the PC version and less quick twitch reflexes than FPS games. Once you get past the initial lower tier grinds it becomes more tactical and knowledge of your tanks advantages, limitations vs which ever enemy you're facing can be rewarding.

I play on XBONE, and about 5 years ago joined a S.A. clan that had players from all over the world.

I now speak more Afrikaans than I did in S.A. and it's not too bad for a soutie.

xavi, World of Tanks was the free game on PS+ a few months ago and I did download it but haven't played yet. Will give it a bash based on your recommendation.

Seriously Plumchum, all jokes aside, if I take that Gran Tursimo anecdote I put up and think of it as a Comprehension test for a school child, and  then look at your understanding of it and the conclusions you reached, I'd put you IQ at less than 80.

Honestly. No jokes. Go ahead and sneer and add one of your fake laughs (as I know you will) but I mean it. Seriously. 80 tops.

    Hey dick

You said, the car becomes ghosted once you lap it. Which makes sense.

But you have only lapped the car once you pass it. And you hadn't passed it.

Until you pass the car you are ; <1 lap ahead.

Ghosting the car when you are ABOUT TO lap it, is a different story since ghosting occurs under 1 full lap's lead.

How are you too stupid to see that very obvious distinction?

No, you're just demonstrating how stupid you are again. This is what I did actually say: ". . . but he'd forgotten one thing, cars also get ghosted when the leaders lap them! "
Now, if someone had to respond to that in the way you have . . . by saying well, the car hasn't actually been overtaken yet, I seriously have to question that person's intelligence. The person quite clearly hasn't applied his/her mind and understood the practical reason why a lapped car would be ghosted.
Try thinking about the reason why the makers of the game would ghost a car that is about to be lapped and how phenomenally stupid they'd have to be to only ghost the car AFTER the leader has passed!
    I mean, really!
Forget 80, Dumb Plum, I'm saying 70 at best now.

"Try thinking about the reason why the makers of the game would ghost a car that is about to be lapped and how phenomenally stupid they'd have to be to only ghost the car AFTER the leader has passed!"

Hey dude, it's your poor choice of words that brought us here.

And actually it makes a lot of sense. Ghosting a player being overtaken gives the leader an unfair advantage. I am on board with ghosting for spiteful driving like braking unexpectedly etc, but not for lapping. You should have to legitimately pass every car on the track.

The only good argument for lap ghosting is...

If however, the leader is ghosting lapped cars then those chasing him won't have to contend with traffic while he will.

That would create a tighter leader spread and higher skill gap requirement.

Also, GT sport has one of the worst ghosting systems known.

Anyway, RooiCommie, here's that ghost car sad story I was talking about. Remember to save your ghosts

    https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/videos/a28918/player-two-short-film/#:~:text=In%202014%2C%20we%20wrote%20about,the%20back%20of%20your%20neck.

"Hey dude, it's your poor choice of words that brought us here."
No DumbPlum, nothing wrong with my choice of words. Doesn't matter how many times I read what I said, it still looks perfectly logical and understandable for even a dull-witted fool.
". . . but he'd forgotten one thing, cars also get ghosted when the leaders lap them! "
Still there for all to see, no editing and no talk of only being ghosted once overtaken. Perfectly understandable that a car becomes ghosted as the leader closes in on him and then becomes unghosted after he's gone past. Same applies to the second placed driver when he overtakes the person getting lapped so no advantage for anyone and no chance of the lapped driver influencing the race unfairly. All makes perfect sense unless you're a drooling retard.
You're fast approaching the moron category, DumbPlum. You'll be joining the likes of ou Maaik and Baboon-ou if you keep this up.
Hope the penny drops and you're man enough to admit what a gigantic fool you've made of youself . Failing that I have to assume you're just a very stupid person.

"A list of most of our regulars...What do they ALL have in common?"

They're all stupid, most of them are liars and most of them are cowards.

Now here's a list of posters who are not stupid, are not liars or cowards and who add good value to these boards . . .

    Saffex

    Chippo

    Flashdakota

    Cloudy

    Brycy

    Stavanger1

    Sharkbok

    Wardad

    Dense

    Pakie

    blobbok

    xavi

    Justwin

    Hakwa

    Ka Mate

    ABasquefan

    MO(NH)

    Kingcorn

    Shezza

    Bluebok

I've probably overlooked at least another 10 good posters, but even without them, m y list is actually quite a lot longer than yours so I'm not sure how stupid you have to be to think your list is "most" of our posters. It's not even half.

PS By the way you left Tit aka sebastianchabal and Omlett aka Augenoffner off your list. I'm even trying to help your numbers.

Ok. I'll run the donwload tonight.

Been about 12 or so years since I played SC.

Are there any particular rules you'd like..?

IE we can do a custom(your rules) game or a standard online game. If those separate formats still exist the way they did when it launched.
