"Do you maybe have a transcript of your interview with the devil where he said this to you?"

No I don't keep in close contact with him.Prefer staying in contact with Jesus.

Plum.. there are multiple themes running through scripture... thousands in fact.

One example is showing how Jesus is the master of all creation by healing the sick, (conquers all medical problems)walks on water(conquers gravity) castes out demons(conquers darkness)....... and so forth.

You can also read scripture as God sending you a personal email. Yes God above writing to you... if you read a parable.. don't worry.. in time it will make sense.

Moon, Honest question, do you think that I am unaware of what scriptures say? I'm very aware, and I've read numerous theological papers too. I recently read a thesis on the tabernacle. And I incorporated an idea in the thesis into an argument that I made on behalf of Christians, hoping that one of you guys would catch the drift and run with the idea. None of you did. As you may recall, I suggested that the only way that a finite intelligence, such as ours, could compare themself to an infinite intelligence, such as God's, was by reflecting on ourselves. Now...allow me to connect the dots for you via some homework. Read up on the tabernacle. Pay attention to the bit about the shiny copper.

In your fourth paragraph are you referring to yoga?

Have a friend who practises it. I couldn't sit dead still though, torture for me.

I'm not into meditation that ends with some foreign idea, yoga.. and suchlike. You mentioned finding truth from within... then you become cagey?

I have never done yoga nor claimed I found any @truth@ there... Zero idea what you are referring to man.

Aah, I see what your referring too... "As you may recall, I suggested that the only way that a finite intelligence, such as ours, could compare themself to an infinite intelligence, such as God's, was by reflecting on ourselves." I didn't mean meditation or yoga. In a previous thread where the non-thesists and yourselves were arguing, I suggested that perhaps some people were afraid of religion because on some level it makes you judge yourself. For example...if there is an infinite intelligence in the universe...I can't compare myself to it because whether my Iq is 100, 1000 or 10000, they're equally insignificant versus an infinite intelligence. Meaning that I can't look outward and judge god, because judgement in that instance is basically a meaningless comparison exercise versus an infinity. All I can do is measure myself and ask, what type of person I am, how much good have I done, etc? I then argued that perhaps people don't like doing that because they're not always happy with the result of them judging themselves. We all know the truth about ourselves, and some don't like to hear the truth about themselves from themselves...because they know it's true. So they prefer to attempt to judge God... And in this thread I now added a little extra, saying that I'd recently read a thesis on the Tabernacle...and I posed you a question in regard to that.

Plum, you say we should read up on the Tabernacle and pay attention to the shiny copper,

OK.... copper is found in the Outer court of the Tabernacle. So to pass over into the presence of God, which was in the Holy of holies, one had to first "pass through" the entrance of the Outer court founded in copper with a sacrifice. Shows us we first have to deal with our sin.
