The US is the most innovative country by a staggering amount in terms of total innovation. That was my point which is obvious;y true. My guess is Stav it never even occurred to you the Bloomberg analysis was per pop, but regardless, the US has has areas that would dominate any other area in the world....narrowly viewed.
As for Covid...nobody has cracked the code yet. And death rates don’t reflect medical capability. The fact that a low tech medical system like NZ is doing so well is proof. Thanks for bringing up that example. It shows isolation.....again Trump was ahead of his experts on the need for isolation.....is the best weapon. China had the chance to help the world isolate the virus. They didn't give a damn.

The other factor is mega urban concentration and population demographics. Germany for example doesn’t have a city like London, New York or  Chicago which are difficult to isolate.
Isolation, urban concentration and percentage of those at risk......note those factors Stav.. Medical treatment thus far has done little to help nature.....and so the factors dominate. But when we get treatments I don't think they will be invented in NZ.
