I said at the time it was highly likely we would soon see the reverse. Well here it is:

‘ Justin Robinson, the national flood services manager at the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, told CNN, "I've been a flood forecaster in the Bureau for 20 years, and this is probably the worst flooding that I've experienced and have had to forecast."

According to the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, in excess of 400 mm (16 inches) of rain has fallen along the northern New South Wales coast during the last seven days.

Port Macquarie is one area that has been hard hit with rainfall as totals reached 200-300 mm (8-12 inches) in just 24 hours Friday into Saturday. From Thursday, March 18, to Tuesday, March 23, a total of 455 mm (17.9 inches) of rain fell. Water quickly collected in low-lying areas across the coastal town with reports of floodwaters reaching up to door handles in some locations.

At North Tamborine, Queensland, 505 mm (19.88 inches) of rain fell in just 48 hours from Sunday to Tuesday.

"This is nothing like we've seen since the 1960s," said New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian at a news conference over the weekend. According to CNN, for some of the hardest-hit areas, this is a once-in-a-century flooding event.’

.........

Back to the 1960s....hahaha...the clowns will bury this event ‘ deep down under’.

These things are cyclical...and we are at a stage of the meteorological cycle where extremes are to be expected at increasingly regular intervals. We are at a hot temperature peak...there has been numerous over millions of years.

There's a peak every 130K to 150K years, followed by a disastrous steep drop in temperature...it's been like that since before we humans came down from out of the trees.

The marxist want to use these extremes to fearmonger the populace into giving them extra taxes, without actually using the taxes for "intended purposes".

It's a money making scam... best Ponzi ever!

@Draad, So scientists are all Marxists...
Scientists make up a solid proportion of the smartest people on the planet, and they are less political than a brainwashed happy-clappy such as yourself.Scientists are also more experienced and qualified in science, than a conspiracist.
Why don't you try to create a vaccine or any other feat that requires an understanding of science? On that day, maybe someone would actually listen to you,...
It is far more likely that an oil company would pay Churches to say that Green energy and lifestyle is a socialist conspiracy, than smart people like scientists being brainwashed, Or being dishonest or wrong etc.

No, the Marxists are the one's who twist the scientific facts to fearmonger people into giving them money.

Meteorology is not an exact science...it's highly politicized...if politicians are on the bandwagon, you know it's BS...why can't you see this? It's so obviously not scientific...only enough scientific jargon to fool the masses...

Meteorologists apparently don't understand physics too well...none of their predictions realizes...they constantly shift goal posts...like evangelical bullshitters...for decades now, but they get a free pass?

Snarkhole...vaccines are not in my field...my scientific background is less microscopic and more tangible, but last I check, engineering is very much part of the scientific field and we actually use physics every day...not nearly on the theoretical level as what's needed for cutting edge research, but enough to call BS on some of the sh!t politicians and the media peddle.

A big lie is being told, and it's got nothing to do with science or religion....like I said, Ponzi...

Nonsense. 90%+ of scientists across all disciplines believe that climatologists are correct in their assumptions that the earth is warming due to man-made changes to the environment. The hypothesis is that another 2% could be cataphoric. Science is a work in progress, world-leading physicists such as Laurence Krauss believe the science that the Earth is warming.

Was the hole in the Ozone layer also a conspiracy?

Most of the Scientists are oddballs and are either Commies or far lefties.

Yes their are a few exceptions but they are private folk and not loudmouths seeking attention.

If global warming is life threatening it might just help rid our planet of some of the weird folks like you Lefties.

Sure us regular folks would also take a hit but then again nothing ventured nothing gained.

But unfortunately it is all a hoax.

Ja Snarkhole, where did you read that?...I'll start believing their BS when their predictions are realized, but the track record for the last 50 years doesn't look too good...They, and you, must first explain the meteorological history of only the last million years...just put it into a bit of context of your models...stop ignoring it and stop pretending that the climate was a constant prior to industrialization...stop lying.

We can trace a 0.7 degree increase  to a group of causes, one of which may be man made  carbon increases. The number is simply not big enough to have driven the climatic effects attributed to it.....scientists or no scientists.

And now the poor buggers who were bleating for more rain are being infested with spiders.....hahaha.

"Nonsense. 90%+ of scientists across all disciplines believe that climatologists are correct in their assumptions that the earth is warming due to man-made changes to the environment. "

Nonsense indeed! 90%+ of all priests, pastors and preachers, across all disciplines and denominations, believe God created the uninvers in 6 time periods...and the Jesus Gospels...all must be true then.

See if you can spot the BS
Why lockdown had little to no effect on global temperaturesScott Archer-Nicholls, James Weber, University of CambridgeOctober 22, 2020 1.54pm BSTCountries across the world took unprecedented action in the first few months of 2020 to control the spread of COVID-19. At its peak, one-third of the world’s population was in lockdown. Around the world, car travel fell by 50%, the number of flights plummeted by 75% and industrial activity fell by around 35%.
With so many cars parked, aeroplanes grounded and factories closed, global carbon dioxide (CO?) emissions fell by around 17% compared with the same period in 2019. But greenhouse gases such as CO? weren’t the only emissions to fall, and not all pollution heats the planet. Some of the industrial activities that shut down – particularly heavy industry, including steel and cement making – also produced aerosols, which are tiny particles that linger in the atmosphere for weeks and reflect heat from the Sun.
Previous studies have suggested that if a lot of these industrial processes were to suddenly shut down, it would lead to short-term warming because the atmosphere would lose the reflective effect of aerosols. But as the lockdown cleared skies, temperatures didn’t rocket.
In new research, we show that lockdown had a negligible effect on global temperatures. So what really happened?
Climate and chemistrySulphur dioxide (SO?) gas is mainly produced in industrial processes that burn coal. In the atmosphere, it reacts to form white sulphate aerosols. These particles offset some of the heating caused by greenhouse gases such as CO? by reflecting sunlight back into space, in a process known as global dimming. If SO? were the only pollutant whose emissions fell, we would expect Earth’s temperature to increase.
Soot, otherwise known as black carbon, is also made when burning dirty fuels, and emitted in large quantities from older cars. Since soot is black, it absorbs sunlight and heats the atmosphere. Cars and aeroplanes also emit lots of nitrogen oxides (NO?), gases that make ozone in the lower atmosphere where it acts as a greenhouse gas that warms the planet. Satellite images in March and April showed huge reductions in NO? over Europe as national lockdowns came into force.

The different gases and aerosols we emit either contribute to global heating or global dimming. So determining how lockdown affected global temperatures is a matter of finding out which effect dominated.
We ran a series of computer model simulations of the atmosphere during lockdown, versus what we would have expected if the pandemic had never happened. We fed into the model the best estimates of how much emissions of SO?, black carbon and NO? fell from industry, transport and aircraft for the period between mid-February and mid-June.
Our model simulations showed that reductions of these different pollutants only had a small and temporary influence on the climate, overall, in part due to their opposing effects. This may sound like a dull conclusion, but it has important lessons.
Which sectors were affected most was hugely important. The largest emissions reductions were in transport, where NO? and black carbon emissions are particularly high. This largely offset any heating that would otherwise have occurred from the drop in SO? caused by the slowdown in heavy industry.
An aerial view of an empty highway interchange.Old car exhausts are rich in soot and NO?, which lead to warming. These emissions fell sharply during lockdown. Kirill Neiezhmakov/ShutterstockThe global average temperature saw little change, but there were regional variations. For example, the Middle East was cooler since less black carbon in the air meant the highly reflective desert sand could send more solar energy back out to space. Other regions, such as eastern China, saw more heating overall, as they had some of the largest reductions in industrial SO? emissions. These differences in heating patterns could affect weather systems, such as monsoon cycles.
What we’ve described here are model simulations – they’re not perfect, but they’re our best method for investigating global atmospheric changes. Simulating the effects of all these different pollutants is difficult. In fact, the struggle to simulate how aerosols affect the climate is one reason we cannot predict exactly how hot the climate will get.
The lockdown offered an invaluable test for our theories about how pollutants affect the climate. From this, we’ll be able to improve our models and make better predictions. We’ll also know better how to plan a strategy that reduces emissions from different sectors without inviting a sudden and sharp increase in global heating.
The post-pandemic climateThe long-term effects of the pandemic on our climate will be determined more by what happens to long-lived greenhouse gases, such as CO? and methane. These remain in the atmosphere for centuries and decades respectively, compared to a few days to weeks for NO?, SO? and black carbon. CO? emissions dropped during lockdown, but not enough to stop levels in the atmosphere growing. Global heating won’t stop until emissions reach zero.
It may seem daunting that the near shutdown of society didn’t cause a big enough reduction in emissions to stop climate change. But this just shows the limits of doing less of the stuff we normally do, instead of changing how our economies and infrastructure are ....more BS at the source ...

The smartest people existing at any one time have believed all sorts things. What they believe now is undoubtedly influenced by scientific politics. In truth 98% of the 99%  of all scientists who believe this guff have never looked at a climate model.

However, r emember the droughts of years gone by and consider the droughts to come. Those are the CO2 ones.

Because science.
