Iran holds leverage over the Strait not Trump or America. Iran is holding all the cards as the world’s economies go into recession with the possibility of some coming to a grinding halt.

The blithering Buffoon that is Trump severely miscalculated by thinking that sanctions had weakened the Iranian economy and that the timing was perfect to attack Iran. He had other delusions, one that the war would be over in days and that the Iranian public would oust their leaders and take over their country.

The process was wrong from the get go by breaking negotiations half way through and by sending in two lightweights to negotiate with heavyweight Iranian negotiators.

By insulting and humiliating Iran he only hardened the resolve of the Iranian leadership. Threatening to destroy a whole civilisation has shown itself up as stupidity on stilts.

More than half of Americans suffered(TDS) Tone deaf Syndrome, more than half bought his BS, some are too dumb to learn from it while I hope most will so that the horror is never repeated.

Single-handedly Trump has changed the world order and economy…..not for the better.

God help us.

U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright told CNBC on Friday that the importance of Hormuz to the global energy market will decline after the Iran war, as Gulf nations build more pipelines to bypass it.

“This is a card you can play once,” Wright said of Iran’s blockade. “There’ll be other routes for energy to get out of the Persian Gulf.”

“We will see a decreasing importance from the Strait of Hormuz, but not a decreasing importance of those nations’ energy production and energy supply,” he said.

…………

The new pipeline is expected to add to the UAE's existing Habshan-Fujairah line, which can move as much as 1.8 million barrels a day, according to the Guardian. If the new project effectively doubles that capacity, the UAE would be in a much stronger position to keep exports flowing even if the maritime route remains constrained.

The actual added capacity of the pipeline addition has not been publicly announced, although a potential doubling would bring the UAE's exports above half of that of Saudi Arabia.

The disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz are showing how a single ripple can affect daily life around the world. When oil and gas shipments are squeezed, the effects can show up in higher gasoline prices, more expensive shipping, and rising utility costs for households and businesses.

……

Iran has permanently demonstrated why every viable capital project should avoid the Strait.

And a dollar is now worth 1.3 million rials. The Iranian currency has lost half its value. And the economy is in extremis.

…..

Quite a fine for it’’s rogue actions and there’s more to come.

" showing how a single ripple can affect daily life around the world." - Trump is a ripple? He caused all of this.

Iran is negotiating....negotiations, while at the same time replenishing their armaments.

What has Trump won?

He's won himself a 90 day+ war with no end in sight, ongoing negotiations and a hole in the USA economy equivalent to having a hole in the head.

Only Trump could make the greatest army in the world look like the greatest circus.

Once China stops laughing at him, they’ll get back on their feet and make a move for Taiwan.

Day after day it's the same bullshit . . . the war is nearly over, they want a deal so badly, we're making great progress, we're speaking to the right people, we have all the cards . . . it's all one lie after the other.

This utter clown has been winging it from day 1 . . . from when he first won the war in the first hour.

Honestly quite astounding to me that the brighter Trumpanzees still don't see it and still swallow the garbage they're fed by the conservative media.

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos stated that President Donald Trump is a "more mature, more disciplined version of himself than he was in his first term." He made these remarks during a CNBC interview, where he also credited Trump with having "lots of good ideas" and being "right about a lot of things." [

"Oil prices rose more than 2% on Monday, June 1, 2026, driven by escalating tensions in the Middle East after Israel ordered troops further into Lebanon. This military escalation dimmed expectations for a U.S.-Iran ceasefire extension, reversing recent declines caused by hopes of stabilized supply.

Current Benchmark Prices

Brent Crude: Trading around $93.13–$93.28 per barrel, up approximately 2.3% in early trading.

WTI Crude: Trading around $89.53–$89.78 per barrel, up approximately 2.5–2.7%.

There is no end to this war.

Iran is the rational side. They know it.

They know the current moment is a comfort moment for them.

Liberals are not bound by the treaties they sign. So the minute Iran signs a treaty, Iran will be bound and the US and Israel will be not.

The US will keep striking and will depict any retaliation from Iran as unlawful and contrary to the treaty Iran signed.

The utter disrespect for treaties by liberals is nothing new. What is new is the other party publicly denounces it before signing anything.

It is a huge step back for liberals. They are now considered publicly as untrustworthy.

Iran demands guarantees. Guarantees they may come from other countries' involvement.

That will not stop the US but is another step toward global escalation.

I see Iran is firing rockets towards Israel at the moment.

So in answer to the original question of who's winning. I'd say no one. Everyone is losing.

Iran has Trump by the balls. The midterms are getting closer.

Iran knows that they can either:

  1. Push Trump to accept a bad deal to end the war before the midterms
  2. Accept no peace deal and let Trump lose the midterms badly. The House and possibly the Senate, which might make the war end.

Trump thinks he is playing cards, but Iran is playing Russian roulette.

I disagree with Stav.

I don't think everyone is losing. I think China is getting more positives than negatives from Operation Epic Fail.

Everyone else is losing big.

"So much winning".

Yep.

The only option was to remove the rogue regime, but that would mean putting boots on the ground, and that’s never been part of Trump’s plan. He thought a quick fix would do the trick, but that’s like slapping a bandage on a cancerous tumor.
