Agree . . . first time JP Pietersen has looked threatening on attack in about 18 months . . . although his weak defence still cost the Sharks in the end.

Frans had a better game, he's starting to get some confidence on attack after his much needed weight loss with some swerving and stepping in his runs.
JP is not a center and his "attempt" on Conrad Smith is the worst "attempt" at a tackle I've seen, doesn't deserve Bok colours and if he does go to the RWC it would be a travesty for those left out. He needs to improve by 200% to warrant a place in the squad.

JP is an outstanding defensive wing, but after nearly 4 years of trying he still cant cope at 13. And dedense has to be the priority at 13. it's the most difficult and critical position on defense. On attack he is like Jean, he tries to play like a wing.
Overall much improved. But that loss will be demoralizing. Should have won. At least the Stormers and Lions did their part for SA. Very proud of the Lions in particular!

It was a poor tackle attempt on Smith . Those tackles from behind close to the line have to go in low. But he made his other tackles and lets not forget it was JPs great tackle that saved us against Fiji in 07.... JP is a strong tackler.

JP was a strong tackler, it's now 8 years since then and he's become lazy and disinterested. Eddie Jones once said he saw JP as becoming the better player when compared to Habana, completely flunked on his potential.

JP is abit of a lazy tackler at 13.
By the way, where is Habana?
