bobby... what has one got to do with the other?

Besides - any reminisce of David on here should be welcomed.

Unless you got a pic of your mom or daughter that you' prefer me to use?

@king... "If I recalls when the All Blacks won their first series in SA was back in the 90s also on a four test series,"

You recall wrong. We had home and away tests - 3 each. but not the same year.

Wrong, KKKC recalls correctly and you have it wrong, MicroChop. The last tour by NZ was in 1996 and it was a 4 test tour.

It was the first time the All Blacks ever won a series in SA (we've only won one series there, in 1937) and when the All Blacks beat us in the 2nd test in 1996, it was the first time they ever went ahead of us in the head-to-head.

Team development must never be ignopred like h appened in the [rerid 2008 to 2018 when playes who have officially retired were recalled and team renewal was in total jeopardy.

By 2018 the players who were in heir prome was totally demotivated and eam spiri destroyed.

Player developmen is a constant and anybdy ignoiring it is shortsighted,

Yup, we never recovered since that day. It was a very competitive tour at the time.

There was a 4 matches which was actually preceded with a Tri-Nations tour, but not part of the official tour. Which they won

SA - NZ

18 - 29 - Newlands - Tri-Nations

19 - 23 - Kings Park - Tour

26 - 33 - Loftus - Tour

32 - 22 - Ellis Park - Tour

Bonus, Griquas drawn with the AB's 18 - 18.

The look at our record after that and we completely imploded and could never recover.

I hope Rassie can take the mental advantage we got over them last year and drive it home.

Last year we beat 2-1, but still not something to crow about.

Our current record against them.

Total won Lost

1104363

20 games behind with a win ratio of 39%

Still a long way to go, white washing 4 - 0 will hardly making a dip, it will take 2 decades to get that back to even

Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu eyes Springbok return after surgery

Springbok flyhalf Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu has undergone successful surgery on his ankle ahead of the demanding international season.

On Thursday evening, the superstar took to Instagram to reveal he recently went under the knife. Two images showed him being wheeled into theatre in hospital and another with his right foot in a medical boot.

The Stormers star was injured after an ankle tap in the act of scoring a try in the 44-21 win over Cardiff in Cape Town on 30 May. He left the field on crutches and his Springbok season seemed in doubt.

Initially, it was thought that the syndesmosis injury could keep the 24-year-old out for up to six months.

"Frustrated, irritated and questioning why me?" Feinberg-Mngomezulu captioned on Instagram at the time.

"Sometimes the game reminds you that you’re not invincible!"

Last week, Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus gave the first update on his star flyhalf's situation, revealing that it was not as bad as initially feared and put an estimation on his return.

"Sacha will be ready about four weeks before the New Zealand matches," he told the press, which is around 25 July.

The highly anticipated Rugby's Greatest Rivalry Tour kicks off against the All Blacks on 22 August at Ellis Park in Johannesburg and Erasmus will be eager to field his mercurial playmaker in the starting XV.
