So in Dave's case, do you think he is a body builder? Do you think he is an athlete? Considering he is mid 50s, he'd have to be on TRT and plenty of supplements to maintain an acceptable muscle/fat ratio.

Now, if Dave told us he was 30, working out 4 times a week and eating right...we could probably assume his muscle to fat ratio to lean more towards muscle than fat. But he's not, and it doesn't.

He accepted the poisoned chalice known as Australian rugby. At first, he seemed destined to fail like his predecessors, but now he appears to be turning the ship around.

Australia still need more world-class players in key positions—particularly at fly-half and in the front row. However, as the team improves, it should attract better talent that might otherwise have opted for rugby league instead.

He managed to counter Rassie’s rush defence with clever pop passes over the top to the wing, or by using forwards peeling off the ruck to punch holes through the middle. The ball-carrying forward places the ball directly into the hands of a supporting runner, rather than passing it. This commits the defender and opens up a gap to break the line.

I’ve seen Ireland use this approach frequently with their backline, and it’s highly effective at creating clean breaks in tight spaces. It also reduces handling errors.

Their upcoming tests against the All Blacks will be a true measure of where they currently stand.

In my not so humble opinion he is the best rugby coach on the planet, he transformed bottom of the barrel nobodies into RWC contenders, consider also that Oz is severely hampered by playing numbers to realise and amazing achievement.

Agreed Shark & Denny. He didn’t have a settled group of players and had to mostly build from scratch.

What impressed me is the amount of self believe that Oz play with….

Speaks volumes for Schmidt,s coaching style, his Tactical Knowledge and interaction with players.

So 3 Six Nations titles, including one Grand Slam, 1 Pro 12 Tttle, 1 Top 14 title, 1 Challenge Cup title and two Champion Cup trophies is not significant?

Also in head to head meetings when two of them where the main coach I believe Schmidt has the better record.

I'm not one for bashing Erasmus, his record speaks for itself but Schmidt is an excellent coach as well.
