It would appear the WC squad of 31 is common knowledge. How about this group who have not made it:
Andries Coetzee, Taute

Players in bold are fare better than some of those is Meyer's hopeless squad to be

I'd rather have JJ at lock than useless Matfield there....or JJ at 10 ahead of useless Morne, or at 9 ahead of useless Pienaar

Dave you have some nice players in your squad....but really, none of those okes are going to challenge for the match 23.

 

Face it Brussouw was pretty ordinary...Coetzee doesn't have a real role....Arno Botha is a ghost of flankers past....Kriel is a possible bench option.....just to look at the flankers.

 

In the backs Taute is a carthorse, Step is a carthorse...Goosen is a sieve, Jantjies is a sieve, JJ is a sieve....Reinach is a klutz, van Zyl is a klutz, Taute is a klutz.

 

I can't think of one player who is a clear cut choice to make a meaningful incremental contribution....we have all the players that should be there. Maybe they wont win, but I think they will make the semis.....and adding any of your squad is not likely to change that prognosis. And there is about a 20% chance of us taking all the marbles.

Dawie's simply being a good board member stimulating debate by picking some of these oaks ........ surely ? That's the only conclusion that I can reach after perusing his picks .  Some of em are more notable cos of their hairstyles & ultimately just another hit & miss list .

Jantjies has not had a defensive issue for some time


All my players are far, far better than the likes of Kirchner, Mvovo, Jean, Morne, du Preez, Pienaar, Matfield, Louw and Alberts......all washed up has beens who you ignorantly think still have the goods
