should never be near to the Springbok team, namely Coenie Oosthuizen and Marcel van der Merwe.   Both folded badly under pressure today and they are  just not good enough scrummagers to survive in tests.

The other misfit was Greyling.  He struggled badly against Jannie  - so much so that he made Jannie look good in the scrums.   However, Greyling is not a yardstick to measure scrummers against - so the jury is out on poor Jannie.

Ou maaaikie Marcel got the better of Beast in certain scrums and Greyling was fine and in fact very good outside the scrums.
Any idea that the sharks dominated the Bulle scrum must be booted into touch. It didnt happen.
The guy whose rep took a real knock this week end was Coenie where Slipper had him for breakfast.Ou snapster will maintain it was becasue Coenie had a sore back. Hahahahahahahaha when will he learn!
Coenie is very good outside the scrum but unless he can scrum he should not be selected for the RWC.
It was good to see Malherbe and Kock scrumming well. And Also Kitshoff.Where in the world is Kebble - this guy looks like a future Bok and yet Vermaak gets in before hm. Is Kebble injured if not its another Alistair selection blunder.

Nope Marcel never got the better of the Beast....the Beast had him popped and turned in most scrums. The only thing that saved the Bools scrum was the lack of power from the Sharks second row.

Oh what utter rubbish......if anything Marcel got the better of the Beast as the commentators correctly reported......but I'd be inclined to say it was even.

As for Coenie, DomMike if you actually knew what you were talking about you would know that the issue with the Cheetahs was loosehead BG Uys who is a very poor scrummager......I noticed last week how poor his body position is, with his arse high in the air......why on earth Drotske has started him ahead of Minnie in the last two games is beyond me.

Coenie was not beaten man on man.....the Reds thanks to pressure exerted on BG Uys, collectively beat the Cheetahs pack.....no tighthead in SA would have made a difference.

Coenie as the commentators said, has been on fire this year in all departments......Drotske is letting them down thanks to selecting Uys.

Coenie has made TOW in most of the weeks

This week it goes to Malherbe who was impressive

Now stop speaking fucking shit, your rugby ignorance is becoming fucking irritating......learn the bloody game

Dave
Coenie was anything but impressive in scrumming this week and he has been varying widely this year.   Against weak 1's he looks solid - against stronger ones like Slipper he caves in.
You blame only Uys for poor scrummaging - but so was Coenie.  Both gave away two scrummaging penalties each - so the problem was on both sides of the scrum.
Insofar as Van der Merwe is concerned - he remains a questionable scrummager and that was proven again on Saturday when he was weak against Beast.  You must have watched different match again.
However, we will see what happens on Saturday when Van der Merwe comes up against Kitshoff.  I think he will fail and badly so.

What part of BG Uys being the issue are you toooooo stupid to comprehend?

What fucking game were you watching and I take it you had the sound down for the commentators clearly said Marcel was getting the better of Beast.

So was Beeno also speaking shit when he said Marcel got the better of Beast huh?

You clearly are as clueless as ever......but I have come to expect that from you.

Go watch the game again and watch how poor Uys's body position is in every scrum.......learn the game
