According to Mozart Pieter-Steph du Toit has thin wrists and thin shoulders and is not a good lock.  Now lets here what Marco Wentzel's response was on the following:-


"Sport24 asked: Pieter-Steph du Toit is tipped to play many Tests for South Africa. Why?

Marco Wentzel: Pieter-Steph is an amazing athlete. He is so dynamic, powerful and possesses an excellent work rate and engine on him. His lineout calling has also improved. It’s such a pity he suffered an injury, but hopefully it’s not as serious as first thought. He’s headstrong, and provided he stays fit, he is destined to play many times for South Africa.

Spare me...."he has an excellent work rate and engine". So how has his work rate been the last three months....huh? As for his four cylinder engine, he should stop running it beyond the red line and just maybe he wouldn't get hurt every second time he plays.

Has it ever entered your deluded mind that Du Toit gets injured because of his massive work rate and that your favourite Matfield does not get injured because of his deficiency in that regard.  A player working hard in the engine room with lots of grunt and active all over the field is more likely to get injured than a player who instead of working up front moonlights in the backline, where he makes a few easy process tackles and gets shrugged off when he tries anything more difficult?

He gets injured because he is injury prone....in effect still a boy growing into his body. When he reaches 25 if he hasn't burned himself out he may become a bit more stable.....and not moonlight in the doctor's office.

 Like Matfield is moonlighting in the backline where he does not belong - instead of doing anything positive in the Tight 5.   So Matfield's name is on the team sheet - but he produced nothing positive - while Du Toit was off the team sheet with the same consequence.
