All sane people will agree the wee abs are frauds and need the boot. Getting the Boks back to their traditional top spot will require changes. These I and others have listed. If they are implemented our glorious future is assured as it has to be evident the Boks playing decent rugby will be superior to the wee abs.

It's the same old bulls-hit we've been listening to these last few decades.

Ain't gonna happen.

Quotas and Meyer will see to it.

It be best we resign ourselves to competing against Japan and Scotland for the best of the tier two nations.

Oh is someone having a fit because the Abs proved their supremecy. By actually proving they are the best by playing good rugby. We have been playing supieior rugby to you for years. The boks are not capable of beating NZ consistently. You know, you would get more respect. If you manned up and acknowledged how good the abs are. Instead of resorting to childish, they are frauds bs.

But we rule it already Beeno, surely? If not for the bent refs, pap All Blacks and that stupid scoreboard that creates the illusion that we are losing games that we are actually winning, everyone would be able to see that we are already the best.

Ou pakie not grasping the issue. Let me try again. If we play extremely dom rugby and lose by a controversial reversal of a penalty what isn't possible if we play even moderately sensible rugby!
These pap wee abs are there for the taking!! Dont be impressed by a mythical record Pakie!

Before you Yarpies start dreaming of ruling world rugby, you should try to develop at least one player who might be good enough to make the All Black bench. Right now a combined Springbok/All Black team would consist of 23 All Blacks.

NZ, over the tournament, proved that on the international scene, there are NZ and the others. NZ are far ahead. NZ are able to practice different rugby styles to adapt to many situations. This led them to overcome the challenges set in the WC.

SA vs NZ was an example: up to that match, NZ was never refed as they were to be in that game, the ref took stern decisions over NZ discipline (unprecedented) and made calls that favour the typical SA style of reliance on forwards, scrummings, line outs and impact.
It took one half time for NZ to adapt and then the illusion that SA could match NZ was gone.
NZ did not owe their victory to a controversial penalty reversal. SA owed their tight score to a way of refeering that NZ did not meet before in the tournament and that favoured SA.

NZ proved they are over the others, NZ proved they do not depend on the refereeing.
That is the fraud: NZ are too good to compete with others.

Should they not have been in action for the WC? This only shows that they could be disregarded. Even though the truth is that, when only a few are able to win, many more are able to lose. SA can no longer hide behind the supremacy of their rugby. SA lost.

An undisputed fact is that the All Blacks have been the #1 team for a number of years.
Sure the Boks have won a game or two against them, but in general the AB's have outplayed the Boks more than once.
Unfortunately the SA coaches for starters have not developed the skills or have the vision of the NZ coaches to the modern game.
A prime example is the S15...........
Adapt or die.......remember!
SA has the talent but we need to get a coach to build that talent into a squad that can win consistently.
The AB's deserve the crown and if SA does not change the AB's will wear that crown for years to come.

1. "Unfortunately the SA coaches for starters have not developed the skills or have the vision of the NZ coaches to the modern game."
Correct.
2. "SA has the talent but we need to get a coach to build that talent into a squad that can win consistently."
Partially correct. No 2 can only be achieved once no 1 has been sorted out. You can have the best coach in the world but if the players arrive at his national camp off a "vrot" foundation that was laid due to no 1, he is going to have a hell of a job, if not an impossible one achieving no 2.
We did not loose in the semi-final due to our preparations at the Bok camp only. We already started that loss during the S15 of 2014 and 2015, in particular. It also had nothing to do with one or two individuals. It had everything to do with the overall state of our rugby.

My own view is our competitive advantages have been eroding. Our big men are still a bit ahead of others, but not by much because of professional training. In the backs we struggle to find a combination of speed and size...we are definitely disadvantaged there to any nation that has significant access to the Pacific player pool.
We have also not found a way to use the smaller, fast, very elusive players who light up the S15 and are unique to us....players like Aplon. Sure he is small and past it, but in his prime he rarely missed an open field tackle and was a game breaker.
So we plod on ....on the downslope I think. And now we face the worst new generation of players since I watched rugby in the 1960s. Literally no new wings or 15s. No centres that look really special and huge flaws in the ones we are intent to use. No new test quality scrum halves, hookers  or loose forwards. Sure the usual names come up, they would never smell the AB team.

This was an important WC for us....perhaps the last great chance for the South African rugby machine....and it was blown by  injuries, and huge antipathy to the team which caused HM to doubt his instincts at times. Kriel, Lomp and Allende were passengers in the knockouts, not ready for the tasks they were given.

We can prattle on till we are blue in the face about fundamental change...it's not going to happen. Next year will be a disaster.

Springboks are not quite set to rule world rugby but ultimately it's destined to happen. With the amount of young talent coming through I suspect a bok golden era is approaching. There's a vast array of SA players who will develop into world class, many don't know much about these players yet, though as they get more game time in Super Rugby they'll get recognition.

The coaching wasn't suitable for our players over the years but a positive commitment has been made to ensure SA teams get new coaches. There's a lot of mess the coaches need to sort out but it will only get better as time goes on. The next 8 years will be great for SA Rugby I'm sure. We'll see the teams playing more expansive than ever before and this will help the players to reach their full potential.

A score only tells that much, it does not reflect the difference between  two sides.
NZ played two halves on different fundamentals. They changed their strong points.
They had variations in style of play. SA was unable to change their monodimensional rugby.

NZ taught a lesson in rugby to every team. Not a single team can claim a superiority over NZ in any rugby style. NZ do it all better than any other team. That is the situation in the world of rugby after the world cup.

The last minutes in the match against SA is one example. NZ had several times the opportunity to take a kick (in which case, the difference in score would have been larger) Instead, NZ focused on pushing back the SA team over and over again. When SA got the ball eventually, they had to start a movement from their try line. SA did not have that in their rugby. SA were reduced to helplessness.

When NZ started to play on the same fundamentals as SA, NZ outmatched SA (NZ won the second half largely)
Contrary to SA that is stuck in one way of playing, NZ though showed they could play different styles.
NZ can play their own styles, they can also beat other teams at their own game.
The reference in SA typical playstyle? NZ.

Same for every other style, NZ come up as number one.
