If you look at the stats of tries scored by players over the history of super series...you see very little of present day players anywhere near...I think Bryan Habana is the only one up close and it's perhaps because he plays in France now (and dropped out in this competition and might have have been in the top 3 or 4)) and his days are drawing to a close...will be his last bash this year at selections.
Does it tell a story...I leave it up to the real expects here to comment. Is it showing something...is the standard dropping or the game pattern changing....ie getting more of a shared team game with all positions enabled to score tries...do you put this down to team effort...
It is also interesting to note that NZ whitewash in this area which is probably due to their game plan of aggressive attacking and flamboyant style. In SA and perhaps the rest of the world, tries are score by everyone fro 15 to number 1...as the game enfolds and provides opportunities.
I do not know and am only guessing but there are posters that understand the game more thoroughly.
