Armed Forces RWC

During this RWC, there was also a RWC for the armed forces from across the globe. I know the team manager of the SADF team...they just returned. SADF got to the playoffs, but lost to The RAF (I think) I know we beat Tonga in the pool stages, and they were supposed to be quite good. I will try and find out more and post it here.I can also recall that they had parliamentary teams playing in a shadow WC in previous years, but haven't heard anything this time round.

 The SA Parliamentary team would have had to make do with front row players in all 15 positions.

 They have actually done well in previous years. They don't have to be MP's, every bona fide staff member of parliament qualifies...gardeners, cooks, etc... I think there is a minimum benchmark of MP's...not sure though. I Know Banthu Holomisa played in 95 or/and 99. 

I was only joking, Draad. I know that it is not MP's only. Bantu Holomisa was quite a good rugby player as a youngster when he was in the Army. He was one of the few "Homeland" military generals who actually went "through the ranks" so to speak. I can remember Mualaudzi, the first Chief of the Venda National Guard, I think  it was, was promoted form a captain to a brig in a couple of days. He was literary promoted to major, to Lieutenant-Colonel the next day, to colonel the day after and Brigadier the next day. The Venda Govt wanted him to be a Maj-Genl but the SADF said no ways.
Holomisa was fully qualfied as a Maj -Genl. Did the Staff Course as well.
