Snapster Burger is our number 8. He has the physicality and the linking skills. He was outstanding.
Senatla will prove a liability on defence.
Habana is still good enough.
There is absolutely no question at all that Coetzee, Bureger and vermulen (7) are our losse trio.I been very impressed with lood. His apce also has been exceptional. Willemse must be in RWC squad. Those still mooning over matfiled are crazy.
Cant see why you are dropping Beast he is playing well. Kolisi and Arno are fantasies and have done zip to warrant inclusion. Serfontein is an okay selection.
AJ I am a guy who puts the Boks first. My name is not Barnacle!!

Dave, I like most of your selection, the 9-15 are awesome but I do not agree with your choice of 1 and 3 (perhaps on the bench) or your first selection in #22.
In my opinion Jantjies and Hoogie are done. But don't forget Meyer still has his OLD FARTS that he will include such as Jannie, Victor, Riaan, du Preez, Skalk, Jean and Morne.
Plus the colour factor has to be included so we will most probably both be way out with our selections.
Remember it is not all about the best but it certainly is about the rest.
I am not holding my breath and hoping for Meyer to select or be told who to select. Hope I am wrong for the Springboks deserve to field the strongest side possible on merit.
Either Victor or Jean (if selected) will captain the squad.

AJ
I can still live with Jean - but he may not make himself available for selection. The final nail in the Springbok team would be if Meyer selects Matfield ahead of functional locks (I nearly said centers) - remember the norm that you first select a team of best players and from that team you select a captain. If Meyer follows that norm - Matfield will not make the squad. Unfortunately Meyer has a tendency to ignore that norm.

No ways are Hougaard and Jantjies done......Hougaard was in fine rugby form this year and I have never bought into the crap written about him at 9.
As for Jantjies he has been simply sublime this S15, by far our best 10.....but I'd stick with the physicality and skills of Pollard to start.
As for 1, Kitshoff is streets ahead of Beast these days.....I am a Beast fan, but Kitshoff is the real deal these days.
