Can you not understand anything at all? Let me explain one thing in very easy detail. When it comes to rugby - age is not a factor at all. You get the situation that older players can still perform and younger players can fail to perform. That is plain and can you understand now that I repeatedly said age is not a factor - that performance is.
So lets look at the situation insofar as Meyer's selections and your support is concerned insofar as the match last Saturday is concerned - an exact replica of what happened over the last year in rugby:-
* Matfield - absolutely useless as a lock in Tight 5 play - physically to weak to compete. On Saturday stood around in the backline and made tackles - nothing else * De Villiers - Very good in 2013 - bog ordinary in 2014 - very poor since his return after his horror injury* Pienaar - has not done anything of value in scrummie play for three years - very slow service at best - a typical robotic player* Kirchner - always clueless what to do when a ball coming his way - always was and always will be* Habana - frankly this once great player does preciously little in games nowadays and Saturday was a typical example * Mvovo - was he actually playing?* Louw - was he actually playing?* Jannie - played for 15 minutes and then became an embarrassment * Beast - played for 15 minutes and then became an embarrassment * Bismarck - gave away four crucial penalties on Saturday - for the rest he did not do anything substantial.
Burger tried his heart out - but did not really succeed in doing anything bar spilling balls and destroying two perfectly good try-scoring opportunities. However, credit should be given for effort.
Problem is that in the case of most players - other than perhaps Habana and Burger - the performance of players in tests and Super 15 over the past year was in par as to what they achieved on Saturday - so why should they actually be in the team at all?
You still don't get it - Hansen select players based on PERFORMANCE irrespective of age - Meyer select players based on REPUTATION with no regard to PERFORMANCE.

Netso Basjan! I'd rather lose against Oz in Oz in the death of the match than lose against Japan on a neutral field. Damian and Kriel get blamed for losing matches because of their defence at the end resulting in tries. True in some respect. Why the silence about what the rest of the team did leading up to that point? Why hammer on one incident and not about the 12 penalties at the break down, the actual real reason why we lost, and guess who were the culprits? Jip, it was the vets!

Who gives a damn about your call Vetsak...you couldn't order a new paper clip for the office without permission. Our squad and our starting team is similar to the ABs in age. You can cut it any way you want, but 32 is a better definition of an old player than 30, given how many players at the WC have hit 30. And on that basis we are a younger team.
The fact is we only have one outlier Matfield....take him out and we are almost a year younger than NZ.
Draad nobody is saying Allende or Kriel are solely responsible....or even most responsible. We are saying at the death if they make their tackles we might have won...and because they never made their tackles we surely lost. As D'Arcy pointed out.
Thanks for the the apology above, I was bit over the top, think no more of it.

Spot the difference between 5 over 32 and 2 over 32. The ABs are as old as the Boks and they are the best team in the world, case closed.

Draad, I simply tell it how it is. I don't look for scapegoats, I look for the truth. Aainst Australia Damian was beaten all day. Opponents are looking at his channel as the access point to the try line, and by and large it has worked all year long. Same thing with Lambie, it is a well that you can generate momentum through his channel and he buckles everytime.
As per age? Name one team of youngsters that has made a serious challenge for the World Cup.

The constant Damien lie and not realising that age should never be a factor - and that age should not be separated from performance. If players - irrespective of age - still perform - age is not a factor.
Too often we have duds in the team that cost us dearly and those duds unfortunately are all past their sell-by date.
