The little bit I have seen of Leonil Zas leaves a favourable impression.  I do not think he is a midget size of player - but could not find any stats on him anywhere.   Any luckk on your side re the stats issue?

He is down as 88kg but you will probably find that that is out of date and he is bigger than that

He looked fairly tall to me in the game between the University 15 and the Juniors - maybe between 6'!" and 6"3".  My impression is that he is heavier than 88 kgs probably about 93 - 94 kgs.   Would like to see what the reaL situation is.
I do not know what happened to Duhan van der Merwe - he seems to have constant injury problems and was in the squad going to Argentina - but never played.  W#onder whether his injury problems played a role in him not been selected .

I may be wrong - but his name was mentioned as a player coming back from injury being included in the squad.  However, that really is immaterial - so I just wonder if he is still on the injury list?

He was not in the squad.....its sad to see his name missing as it is centre Jurie Linde and a few others like centre Jarryd Sage, scrumhalf Justin Philips, props Ruan Kramer and Frans v/d Merwe, locks Le Roux Roets and Edward Zandberg and loosie Ayron Scrhamm

Good squad. Good to see TdT and the du Preez twins still being elligable.

Also great news for the Liebenberg family. 2 junior bok captains.

Must be some kind of first.

@Saf where are they playing this year?

Chip its not that great a squad but they should be ok in terms of a starting 15 which will be pretty damn good. I am not sure about 9 & 10 though......don't think there is anything special there. Sadly they lost Innocent Rhadebe of the Sharks who is a real class act at 10 with ball in hand.

Its in Italy this year starting on the 2nd June

Best Baby Boks side would be:

1. Thomas du Toit (130kg) 2. Dweba (105kg) 3. Frans v/Wyk (125kg) 4. Jenkins (125kg, 2.01m) 5. RG Snyman (118kg, 2.06 m) 6. Vermeulen (104kg) 7. JL du Preez (113kg) 8. Liebenberg (110kg) 9. v/Zyl 10. Thomas 11. Gallant (89kg) 12. du Plessis (97kg) 13. Jackson (101kg) 14. Zas 90(kg) 15. EW Viljoen (100kg)

They have two good 9's in Ivan Van Zyl and Marco Janse van Vuuren who is upwards of 95kg's. Also Jackson is 101kg's now, they updated his weight in the Varsity cup.
The flyhalves are nothing to write home about which worries me, hope they are at least accurate goalkickers.
Duhan was deemed not fit enough to go on tour at the last minute , was really hoping to watch him play.

I don't know much about the 9's and 10's......find it strange that Justin Philips did not make it.

Its a huge pity about v/d Merwe, he would have made a big impact on the wing.

Sadly we are going to witness poor political selections like Nche at prop, Andrews or Nonkontwana at lock, Gallant at 15 when he should be on the wing with impressive Viljoen at 15

I see BT Sport are showing it, but only the Home nations games which is disappointing.

Will have to catch the Baby Bok games on live stream
