good days players would enter Alliance Stadium at the main gate and they would also exit the same gate.  Fans enjoyed being close to the players and there would always be a small group backslapping and cheering their heroes after the game.

Rugby had a human face.

Things changed and I've always wondered when and where the bus entered the stadium. Well it was by pure coincidence that I happened to be standing near a side entrance when the bus carrying the Stormers made it's entry into the stadium. After some hesitation I planted myself next to the security chappies  and watched the players alight the bus and make their way into the stadium. They  seemed very focused but I was fortunate to attract Etsebeth attention who acknowledged me with a nod of the head after I wished him and the team good luck.

About the game, well done to the Stormers, they were excellent in defence, however, all their tries came against the run of play. There was a passage of play early in the first half when they attacked from set play but it came to nothing although I must add that the 'Tahs came up very quickly, almost too quick to be onside. Clearly the 'Tahs did most of the attacking and it's from their mistakes in attack when the Stormers pounced.

The Stormers have a long way to go with their attack and it's for that reason that I won't get too carried away with their four try win.

Oh one other thing....with the MOM announcement a mighty Booo erupted around the stadium. Rightly so because the MOM should have been given to one of the Stormers players.

The Stormers must bring in Pat Howard 101kg and Huw Jones 96 kg and possibly Johnny Kotze 90 kg as well. Better bet than wee dillan Leyds at 78 kg. Kobus van Wyk at 94kg is fine and will probably get slightly heavier in time.

How is Taute 101 kg going?
There is absolutely no need for the midget backline the Stormes are fielding. This will cost them when playing top teams. Only hope otherwise is very significant forard dominance. Coetzee must wake up.

Fleck is no backline coach. Compare his efforts over how many years to Eddie Jones with the Boks for 6 weeks. Forget it, Fleck is a pretender.

And yes there is one too many midgets.....first one that should go is Scara....I'd send him back to primary school.
