Board poll on posting practice.
Rugby in the Rugby section
Other Sports in the Other Sports section
Non Sports in the Beeno's Tr(*)mpet section (but let's change the forum name and stop giving these two blithering idiots any credibility)
So my vote is 1.
..but i can understand how certain people with failing mental capacity and limited rugby knowledge would want to ruin it and turn it into their own personal messaging service...maybe we need an extra forum added on for these muppets..
How would it look to a new poster to see the rugby forum covered in Donald Trump, or the final Muslim/Christian war etc.?
I think many rugby enthusiasts would be put off that- and the forum could turn into a groupie area for people to post personal one on one messages. . How was your holiday, or how is your piles etc, etc). This should be in the Beeno section at best
People do respond in the other sections. There is just less interest. Maybe if they were used more often- they would get become more active.
It is a rugby website, and I think bombarding the rugby section with non-rugby stuff- is putting personal interests ahead of the community.
Can't be bothered to visit separate sections and it's not like there are so many posts on here that one struggles to keep up. Would be different if the board was overflowing with content.
Happy posting 2017 to all. ill5conform to the majority if the goose and gander are treated equally . ...which wasn't the case till now.

You find those unable to debate and against freedom of discussion not favouring 3. Of course I am not totally opposed to Beeno's Trum*pet being done away with given the quality of posts I have pit there.
Its a pity some retards here get the vote? Ha hahahahahahahaha
I'm with you Ka Mate. Number 1 all the way. It's a slippery slope when all that other rubbish is normalized .
But why some Saffas don't want to talk rugby anymore is the concerning part? Are they too embarrassed or something.
I salute the ones that are keeping the faith. That's what it's all about keeping a positive attitude when you're going through a rough patch. There's plenty to be positive about
The Lions and Stormers for example are both very dangerous sides and should do well in their conferences in 2017.
The Blitzbokke are also world beaters. Surely there is a lot of emerging talent coming through the grades and CC to talk about as well? Then there's a multitude of Saffas plying there trade in European clubs to follow.
Just a thought, my five cents as a solution to the current mess the forum is becoming ,My motto being there are no problems- only solutions....
so I'm suggesting colour coded links to the forums on the forum homepage instead of the current system..
So like pink for the football /cricketers forum for example ,
Brown for Beanob's diarrhea .
Black is the best colour if you're taking rugby
(or green as a Go to colour.)
Yellow for friendly chinwags forum.etc
Red for other sports but you get the drift , get your creative thinking/ problem solving hats on and maybe by slightly changing the format will stop a lot of arguments.
The site editor policy is clear by having 3 separate sections. He has been tolerant to allow this- and this leniency should be respected.
Mozart I think the brought this topic up once before and your conclusion was that we would post rugby topics in the rugby section but be loose about it, i.e. if there was the occasional thread on cricket, etc that was ok. I recall you were concerned that posting in the other sections didn't get much notice. This conclusion is fine with me.
My opinion on this is that the rugby section of the board should be about rugby but that includes related banter, jabs, (Moz vs CleverMike), etc. as most of them are in some way related to rugby.

Some might say "ban it" but I disagree.
Other sports like cricket, etc. should be in that section but I am not bothered about the occasional exception (especially during the SH rugby off season as there is almost nothing going on rugby-wise.
The political stuff & topics such as climate change should be down in the Beeno insanity section
I agree with Sharkbok on his point about those who visit our board being put off by the current state of affairs - this is mainly a problem during the SH off season..
I usually limit my reading/posting to the top 30 (newest) threads and can't be bothered with what happens down the page. A much bigger problem is the spam.
I also usually don't mind a few off-topic posts, but it should be limited to one or two.

And then, sadly in society, some people will ALWAYS step out of line and do as they please as long as rules aren't enforced in some or other way, which means one or two topics will suddenly be more when that person gets a "bee in their bonnet"...

There are three options in my view.
1. Leave it as it is and keep bitching and moaning.
2. Leave it as it is and stop bitching and moaning
3. Use other software that can allow the forum Nazi's like Rooinek to move threads to the other sections and that have the functionality to stop/block spam posts

Getting back to the original poll... Gut feel says 3... (But Beeno must still have his own section down there!! )
Admit1 could be added- but I never once seen a rugby post from him. He seems to be a refugee from Kampstaalstraad that will take any opinion opposite to Rooineck.
On that note, most of the international posters (Kiwi's) seem to favour option 1- which suggests the best way to increase the board membership is to use this.
Some posters seem stuck between option 2 and 3. Some want to post anything anywhere with a headline
Column1 Option 1 Option2 Option3 (Rugby for Rugby, Other Sports for Other Sports, and anything else Beeno1 section) (Any sport in any section. Politics, religion, climate etc in Beeno Section) Option3 (Ignore forum setup. Post anything, anywhere mozart 2 clevermike 3 rooineck 1 Brycy 1 sharkbok 1 Justwin 1 abaseque 1 plum 3 wardrad 1 beeno 3 oimatey 3 black adder 1 ka mate 1 Bluebok 1
cloudy 3 The Truth 3 Draad 3 Denny 2
Mo 3 BokbF 3
Total 9 29

Indeed, this would probably not be an issue at all if it wasn't for Baboon-ou.
it seems most of the people that chose option 3 are more right wing that those that chose option 1?
