Cab anyone remember the 2003 Springbok Squad Announcement for the WC?

I seem to remember that the crowd at the show boo-ed the coach and also some of the squad members and that it resulted in some serious reprimands of the public.
The Squad announcement is tomorrow at 17:30 and is shown on TV1 lasting for nearly 90 minutes.   I hope there is not a repeat of the 2003 fiasco - but the situation to my mind is ion fact even worse than it was in 2003.   

 The Bok RWC squad will be far from full strength Mike. Too many quotas and poor selections are going to happen. Frankly we dont deserve to succeed the way things are done here. See my thread re likely RWC squad.

 Something said on TV tonight by Hugh Bladen is very true.  he does not think that we can win the WC for the following reasons:-
*   The experienced players are mostly over the hill; and*   The younger players are too inexperienced to be really successful in the WC.
This is probably the best description of the result of Meyer's selection practice that caused the above situation to develop.  He did not add - but too many of our experienced players have had limited game time over the past year and when they did they were not really on the level they used to be.   Performance is consequently not the basis on which they are to be selected.
