Come on Ernie!

Some would argue that Ernie is a geriatric who should be playing with the seniors. Would be great if he could follow his first round up with similar scores. Pity about the bogeys on the 4th and the 18th but the eagle on the par 5, 15th hole, made up for it. 

Round 2 update: Ernie has opened with a birdie to get back to 6 under and Louis Oosthuizen has birdied both the 1st and 2nd holes to get to 2 under.

I wish they were bloody showing it. They only cross at 7pm here.

 Wouldn't it be great if the big guy could do well in this Masters? I have always been a big Ernie fan and was quite chuffed when he won The Open for a second time. I can still remember when he won his first after they had two rounds of play-offs, IIRC. On the final  hole of the last playoff he ended up in the bunker just short and left of the green. My wife said: "That's it. He's list it" and I said that if there is anybody who could win this with a bunker shot, it's Ernie and that was exactly what he did.
