...It was reported earlier this month that South Africa's assistant coach Craig Matthews said he wouldn't pay money to see New Zealand play without Ross Taylor and Daniel Vettori, while Cricket South Africa had said no Taylor or Vettori is bad news for marketing of the tour....haha egg on face...

Brycy

Egg on whose face?   I suppose New Zealnd cricket face.   New Zealand have not even a half-decent team and Taylor is in fact one of their better players.  I understad that Vettori is injured - so the New Zealand team is not really a challenge of any sort.

SA has the highest-rated cricket team in the world - so I am not suprised by Matthew's comments.   They are playinf SA in a T20 game on Friday in Durban - I do not think I will bother to go and watch it in any event.

"There is one consolation in SA and that is that crooks ALWAYS gets caught out and ALWAYS gets punished."

LMAO!!!!!

If that is not a joke then it's one of the most naive and ignorant things I've ever read.

What about the developers who were given R3bn to build RDP houses, built about 300 of them and then couldn't account for the rest of the money? Were they caught? How were they punished?

What about the police who shot protesters execution style at Marikana? Have they been brought to justice?

How many crooked BEE tenderpreneurs do you know of who have been jailed for corruption or punished in any way?

Do you think any of the literally hundreds of repeat rapists who got out of jail within weeks and then promptly raped again were suitably punished?

What about the alcoholic high court judge who was so drunk that he drove through some guys wall into his swimming pool, then accused the home owner of being a racist and finally resisted arrest because the arresting officers were female? How much time did he spend in jail? Why is he still on the roads?

What ever became of the MEC's 17 year old son who killed a pedestrian while driving daddy's Aston Martin at 240 kph? Why did that story disappear from the news?

Corruption in the Arms Deal of 1999 has still not been investigated 13 years down the line. Is this another example of crooks "ALWAYS" getting caught?

Whose heads rolled after the "text book" fiasco in Limpopo?

What was the punishment for the politicians involved in the "Travelgate" scandal?

"Clever"Mike, you need to read the occasional newspaper or watch a news broadcast once in a while. Hard to believe you're actually living in this country if you believe some of the nonsense you write.

I have to agree rooitwit when it comes to corruption andself serving politicians SA is the pits. We have  president with 783 counts of fraud, corruption money laundering etc for which he has dodged his day in court. He has now put up a R250 million residence when folk here live in shacks!

But when it comes to sporting matters there appears to be a willingness to invesigate matters. No such ethos in nz where they deny or cover up. Mike is essentially correct on his main point.

Yoiu really are a doos - a stinking one at that.   May I remind you - dumb idiot - that this is a rugby forum - sometimes also dealing with other codes of sport.   It is not an issue of politics or Government administration.

Ignorant doos - I was talking here in a sport context - nothhing else.    You are a bloody fool - why don't you use Rooinek anymore?   Now run off and report this post to the Editor - crybaby.

Sounds like I touched a nerve there, "Clever"Mike? What's the matter, are you having low self-esteem issues because you're too lazy to look for a job and you'd rather waste your time typing ignorant rubbish on a message board all day every day?

Why would I report anything to the Editor? Are you saying that because that's the kind of thing you do? Is this message board that important to you?

Now please rooitwit one of your less appealing characteristics (of which of course there are so very many) is this jealousy thing (Your own non achievment  being doubtless the root of the problem).  Be a good chimp now and try and behave yourself!

Beeno

Thanks for putting the issue of my employment in the clear.   I am not about to go and look for further more permanent employment - but still do some work for people on request from time to time.

Rooinek has always been a severe critic of whatsoever I wrote - and basically lose the plot completely.   Beware of the day you even dare to criticize any Bulls player.  His dislike of you and Mozart also was always clear and apparent.   Probably because he is an ignorant twit and jealous too boot.

I think I will just do the obvious and not respond to the idiot in future.    It is obvious by now to everyone that his idiot cannot make a proper rugby or sport contribution - he is too dumb for that.

So Rooinek was a Bulls fan? Well I'm a Sharks supporter so feel free to say what you like about the Bulls. Is the penny starting to drop yet?

As for ignoring me in future, "Clever"Mike, that would definitely be the sensible thing to do if I make you start swearing and getting all hot under the collar. Good idea!

Guess we should concentrate on current events,

The South African Football Association suspended its president and four other officials after a FIFA report into match-fixing ahead of the 2010 World Cup found "compelling evidence" that one or more games were fixed by betting syndicates.

In a statement, the association said it issued an apology to the world soccer body and said it would launch its own internal investigation into the officials' actions. As part of the investigation, it said the association's committee asked President Kirsten Nematandani to "take a voluntary leave of absence from his position."

Four other association officials - Dennis Mumble, Lindile 'Ace' Kika, Adeel Carelse and Barney Kujane - also were asked to take voluntary leave, the statement said. Mwelo Nonkonyana, the association's vice president, has taken over as interim president.

"This is a difficult situation for the association, and for those who have been named in the report," Nonkonyana said in the statement. "We hope that there will be no speculation about their presumed guilt or otherwise. We need to allow the investigation to take place speedily and fairly, so those that are innocent can be separated from those who are not."

The association said Saturday that it had received the report from FIFA on Friday. The association acknowledged then that it had been "infiltrated" two years ago by now-convicted match-fixer Wilson Perumal and his "bogus" football company Football4U, which was a front for Asian betting syndicates.

No players have been implicated in fixing matches. Instead, FIFA-approved referees appointed by Perumal's Football4U were thought to have manipulated one or more of South Africa's World Cup buildup games for betting markets. Perumal could have also been aided by some South African officials, SAFA said.

SAFA didn't immediately identify the games but South Africa's 5-0 win over Guatemala and 2-1 win over Colombia in late May 2010 - two weeks before the World Cup kicked off - were under suspicion.

Three penalties for handball were awarded by Niger referee Ibrahim Chaibou in the South Africa-Guatemala game on May 31, with two of them appearing to be incorrect. Chaibou is also being sought for questioning by FIFA for his handling of other suspicious games in Africa, Asia and South America, where a high number of penalties were awarded, apparently to feed betting scams.

All three goals in the South Africa-Colombia game on May 27, which was refereed by a Kenyan official, came from penalty kicks. That match was the official opening of South Africa's redeveloped Soccer City showpiece stadium, which hosted Spain's victory over Netherlands in the World Cup final a little more than a month later.

<a target="_blank" href="http://ad-apac.doubleclick.net/6k%3Bh%3Dv8/3d50/3/0/%2a/i%3B237587233%3B3-0%3B24%3B60494442%3B4307-300/250%3B50905345/50876523/1%3Bu%3Dundefined%3B%7Eaopt%3D2/1/36/2%3B%7Esscs%3D%3fhttp://www.essentialmums.co.nz?cid=banner:essentialmums:stuff:phone:mrec"><img src="http://s0.2mdn.net/3095127/EM_BackupV5_300x250_Filler_151012.jpg" border="0" alt="" ></a>

South Africa also beat Thailand 4-0 and drew with Bulgaria 1-1 in preparation games ahead of the World Cup.

After allegations of fixing in the World Cup buildup, SAFA asked FIFA to take over the investigation. The world football body began looking at the matches in March this year.

Published: 12:01PM Monday April 02, 2012

Recorded crime in New Zealand dropped to its lowest level for 15 years in 2011.

Latest crime statistics show a 4.8% decrease in recorded offences from the previous calendar year, continuing a steady decline in recorded crime.

There were 20,289 fewer offences recorded in 2011 than during the previous calendar year, with 406,056 offences recorded.

Story continues below...

Taking into account the 0.8% rise in New Zealand's resident population over the same period, the fall in crime rate for 2011 is 5.6%.

Deputy Police Commissioner Mike Bush said the results are a good sign that police and the public remain serious about reducing crime, but that there is still much to do.

"These results show us that we're on the right track with our frontline focus and the work we're doing with communities and other agencies to prevent crime from happening in the first place," Bush said in a statement.

"It just motivates us to do even more to keep the downward trend going. We stay firmly targeted on bringing crime further down across the board."

The largest decreases were in Canterbury where a 22.2% drop was recorded, while there was a 13.1% fall in the Southern district, 10.5% in Northland and 5.6% in the Bay of Plenty.

Auckland City and Waikato were the only two districts that saw an increase with 8.3% and 1.7% respectively.

The overall national crime resolution rate remains relatively steady at 47%.

Homicide and related offending dropped 14.4%, down 14 offences from last year. Last year saw the lowest number of murders in a calendar year since 1995, with 39 recorded, compared with 46 in the 2010.

The latest figures also show that acts intended to cause injury, which are mainly assault-related offences, dropped by 2,237 offences or 5% in 2011.

Illicit drug offences reduced by 9.8%, from 22,995 to 20,739 offences. The largest reductions were in cannabis, down 11.6%, and new drugs, mostly methamphetamine, down 10.8%.

Theft and related offending, which makes up over 30% of all recorded offences, was down by 1,490 offences this year, a 1.1% reduction on the previous year. Nationally, 20,724 vehicles were recorded stolen, up by 733, but thefts from cars dropped from 38,669 offences to 38,174.

Recorded sexual assault and related offences, known to be under-reported to police in previous years, rose by 14.9%, which means 450 more offences were reported in 2011 than in the previous year.

Property damage and environmental pollution offences, the majority relating to wilful damage, dropped by 11.1%. The decrease may be attributed to higher levels of security in high risk areas, including increased patrols, police say.

Abduction, harassment and other related offences against a person dropped by 8.5% in 2011, and robbery, extortion and related offences dropped by 7.3%.

Offences related to dangerous or negligent acts endangering persons, which make up less than half a percent of all recorded crime, rose by 14% in 2011, an increase of 120 offences from the previous calendar year.

"Last year saw New Zealand dealing with significant events. We dealt with devastating lows like the Canterbury earthquakes and experienced highs like the Rugby World Cup," Bush said.

"This continued drop in crime is a good indication that, at a fundamental level, New Zealand is fed up with crime and serious about getting the numbers of offences down."

Bush said police want to make the most of that, which means stepping up their focus on working more closely with communities and other agencies to stop crime from happening in the first place "by addressing the risks that lead to offending".

However what is highly amusing is that whereas even the corrupt SA Football Associaition i s taking action - what action did nz take re their corrupt WC campaign

All we get is denials and Bl made nz ref of the year. Denials re mcheat etc. Bwahahahahhahahahaha Mike and Bok logic have got it spot on!  nz pretending to be squeeky clean is a montrous denial of the true state of things.

Poo..You are a world class knob..There you go again "covering" the issues up as any true kiwi does. Thanks to your guys input on the crime stats in SA. Gee this comes as such a shock to us all who have lived in it for years...As I mentioned, we are not debating that NZL is a "safer" place to raise a family but instead of list stats, lets drill down into the reason for those stats.

Kinda like SA drills down to the reason for school boy injuries. Kinda like NZL SHOULD do into their school boy rugby. Kinda like NZL SHOULD do into the reason they have a huge drug and alcohol problem. Kinda like NZL SHOULD do to get an understanding of why they have one of the highest suicide rates in the world. NZL choose not to tarnish their "amazing" rep and think if they choose not to see and address the problems, it will go away. We in SA address the problems and try get to the core of it! Jonah Lomu was close to losing his life. Call it what you want, that was steroid related. Many more of your past and current players are users too!

As I have mentioned, when we have crooks as leaders of our country, unemployment is sky high and education costs money some dont have, how can we get rid of crime. A man is hungry he has got to eat. We dont have hand outs like NZL. We cant just decide we dont want to work so jump on a benefit or some sort of gravy train. You cakes that have never been to SA should stop assuming you know anything about it. Take the dole away from the kiwi's and make them have to work (which they hate) and see how rapidly your crime stats increase. When there was talk the other day about all beneficiaries of the dole must be drug tested and show a negative result or their dole is cut, I was hugely against that. I would rather pay this ridiculously high tax rates and keep those bludgers on the dole than have it cut and have them in my car and home at night or hurting/killing people for their wallets or belongings. You see guys, you simply just do not experience the problems SA have and lets hope for your sake you never do.

At present most or nearly all countries run by native africans are not profitable and instead rife with corruption. Most countrties in Africa are in massive debt to countries like Amercia and on top of this have the fastest growing populations in the world. This social problem of having the fatest growing population will only make economics worse and with this politics more corrupt and therefore less competent.  Things are going to get worse before it gets beter. It is a sad statistic but one that clear for all to see. What has made South Africa even worse is cross border immigrations where many immegrants are illegal so they cant gain ligitmate work, therefore have no other option by to steal as a livelihood. With many people leaving the country the brain drain due to increasing violence since the end of Apartheid is not helping either.

So in making comparisons with other continents in crime stats any country/continent is going to look good.

Poo, I always knew you would struggle to understand my argument. You are as thick as a bag of dry leaves. Much like your countrymen, your brain sees very little use with all the hand outs your corrupt government signs off on just to keep u chops quiet.

Now, how do you know about our "cheating/corruption/crime within your sport/politics/society in general?" Is it because we have addressed it? How come kiwi's are so "in touch" with the happenings in SA yet South African's know little about your island? Two reasons, you guys are insignificant as a nation and wouldn't last a day in SA and you guys hush it up or try to.

You knobs have politicians resigning most months these days. The ever so bent Harawira, the dude that just got caught stealing money from his moms account (think she was deceased at the time), Key always in and around shady stories, Chinamen who is wanted for serious crime in China gets a NZL passport despite being declined initially..Not to forget the huge issues with politicians and the ACC scandals..Mate, it goes on all day. Like it or not, wherever you see a politician in this world, just know there is crookedness. We live on different continents, different countries and all the rest but as long as we are all human beings, we are all wired up the same. Money drives us which is why we work all over the world. People all over go to extraordinary lengths to get more of it however they can. Men love a sexy lady and a lady loves a good looking guy..(u guys are slightly different as u like sheep - joking). SA wana be the best rugby team as does NZL. Competition is all over in life and thats the long and short of it. We are all the same..

We know the problems in our society. No education. From schools to general issues like aids and the rest. With such a multicultural diversity, beliefs are different. We have people choosing not to believe a doctor when they say Aids can not be cured by sexual intercourse with a toddler under 3 years old. No root or onion in this world can cure it and all the rest. Our president is amonst these idiots promoting these ideas so how can we be a model nation? As mentioned above, we are being infiltrated daily by illegal immigrants in search of a better life and coming to steal from the more fortunate. It is going to get a lot worse before it gets better. We know this and no one is debating that NZL is in a better space right now. Society in general...All leads to education..How about your society?? Why so many suicides? Why the big drug and alcohol problem? Worry less about SA please, give us some answers about your "pedestal" country...  Can you explain how your rugby players are "man mountains" and clean but ours are steroid cheats... Open your eyes Poo..Answers are right infront of you! They are all doing it/done it at some stage.

SA tops the charts for....well drug cheating rugby players and corruption...that's something to hang your hat on at least.

Hi there Bobbok hope you are enjoying the peace of the Christmas break. Unfortunately we are still battling with a few wayward kiwis and the two miscreants rooitwit and snapster. Battling is perhaps over dramatising it as its a bit of a walk in the park really.

As to Jalapeno yes indeed he has been unmasked as the notorius rooitwt! It wasn to difficult as he lacks the subtley necessary to pull it off as I did with Stormerrule etc.

I hope big bad kev does find this board as he was huge fun (like these unruly kiwis here who are to dumb to know when they are beat) and badly in need of some rugby education - as are all nz oaks.

In Auckland I saw a bumper sticker on a parked car that read:

"I miss South Africa."

So I broke the window, took the radio and left a note that read:

"I hope this helps."

I have had a number of car radios stolen its hardly worth replacing them if you have  to leave your car unattended at times.

So when did you immigrate abnz?

Brycy Brycy Brycy, my down syndrome friend..There is a saying for people like you. It goes, "Rather keep quiet and be thought a fool, than speak and remove all doubt!" You, my very awkward friend, are getting no smarter besides some guys like Beeno and Mike devoting a lot of time to school you.

Kiwi's..The masters of assumption. Assume their rugby players are steroid or performance enhancement free but WILL NOT conduct the tests. Assume the state of their nation is on the up when this is clearly not the case. Assume they are an engaged society when your countrymen are picking themselves off daily! Assume the drinking and drug culture will blow over but wont address it. Assume your government is straight when this is the furtherest statement from the truth and now Brycy, the dumbest prick I have ever had the misfortune of blogging with, assumes NZL doesn't welcome me. Ha ha Brycy, they want me more than you clown!

Now give up on comparing SA to NZL. I thought I clearly explained to you fuckwits that its not comparable. We experience a totally different set of problems. We have nearly double the amount of people in Durban than you have in you country! We do not have the hand outs you do. We are surrounded by other African countries that infiltrate us daily when NZL is a dot on a map by themselves. Spare us the petty crime speech please. I have had a gps stolen out of my car in Dominion road in Auckland whilst meeting with a client. For a small country that is supposed to be straight, there is a lot of that shit happening here too. Its all over the world, not just SA. We just experience it on a different scale.

Brycy never assume. Never assume that your mum knows who your dad is or that your dad is not really a fa'afafine on K road! Tests need to be done! Get my picture. I dont care about you telling us there is no steroids in your rugby. U thick and have probably never played the game! Show us test results. School level up!

Doesn't the fact you chicken ran from a country you so vigorously defend while at the same time shit on the country you chose to live in make you...well a pretentious douche bag?  If the state of NZ  is so average Fuck off with your family back to SA tomorrow....bet you won't though...douche.

This is the problem with blogs..U kiwi's on here have the memory of a goldfish. U read the last post and comment but forget what got us to this point.

Why must I not defend my country. Where I choose to live has fuck all to do with you inbreds. I dont judge you when you turn to a life of crime and choose to live at the penetentiary because no decent employer wants to employ a brain like yours. Life is about choices and I get paid a lot more money for my skill set in NZL. SA has its problems and factors around employment and as a white man, I choose to not be part of it when I can get more money elsewhere. Never chicken ran from anywhere. My family has been here 6 years. I have been here just over 2 years and been back home 6 weeks a year both years so who is running. I left when I was ready and on my terms to do a job you cant!

You fucks can say what you want about SA but when we mention your problems, we become pretentious douche's and "shitting" on countries?? Is that not what you doing asshole?

I am way better placed to comment here as I have seen both countries first hand. You kiwi's think you know about SA because of what you hear or how we are portrayed by your media but you really know fuck all...As I said before, you chops wouldn't last a day there. My choices to leave were based purely on my financial future..If SA was in a state to offer me what NZL can, I still wouldn't know where NZL was on a map...

Except SA's steroid abuse/corruption/general shitty state of affairs is well documented, as a rebuttal the best you can do is 'Oh, um, er, well look at NZ...insert petty made fantasy problem'....I just can't understand who issued your visa, NZ clearly has a 'miserable bigoted twat' shortage that needed filling...congratulations

I see no need to defend corrupt soccer officials, or corrupt, inefficient and racist government politicians and cadres. Guys like brycy and other nz oaks do us a favour pointing all this out and showing that the world knows what a rubbsish set up we have here in many areas.

However as far as rugby is concerned I  do not think we have a doping culture any more than in nz. Also I do believe our refs are a lot better- fairer and more competent. What the problem here is that nz oaks are in total blind denial. They think BL is a great ref and paddy an outstanding guy. Mccheat is not mccheat although this name is used around the rugby world.

No  in rugby terms they need to clean up their act. Neither OZ not SA had two player suspeneded and their fans invloved in a big brawl. What are these kiwi bird brains smoking!!

But lets elevate the tone a bit please.

You are the one that started going on about our politicians and cannabis use etc... first Boklogic we were just talking bout match fixing before that perhaps you should see what got us to this point.  I couldn't care less where you work  or how important you are or why you came here, at the end of the day you could say anything.

I'm sorry but I just have to wade into this debate after reading Thicklogic's so called "facts" about NZ!

Real facts are:

1. Lomu was always big at school. I saw him play live at a schoolboy match and he dwarfed all the others. Bullshit Logic, you weren't in NZ when Lomu was at school were you?

2. The journalist that was killed "just the other day" was in fact killed a year ago and the perpetrator (that's the bloke that committed the crime Logic) did not "get off free of charge" but was convicted of manslaughter. More Bullshit Logic!

3. Wikipedia tells me that not only is NZ NOT the suicide capital of the world, it in fact languishes (that means sits way back Logic) in 29th place, way behind a certain country called South Africa in 23rd! Extreme BULLSHIT from Logic this time!

4. It's Down's Syndrome Logic, not Down. You of all grammatically challenged people had the nerve to point out a spelling error??

Moolaa once again proving that Logic's penchant (that means what you like to do Logic) for not letting the truth get in the way of a good story is alive and well!

What a complete tool you are. How about spouting off a few more S15 "facts" so that you can shoot yourself in both feet this time?
