I've just finished my notes for the game and thought I'd post a quick thought about what I saw. It was certainly his most effective game in a Bok jersey by quite some distance. Still not a force on defence, but the most significant thing to note is how he made far better reads on defence, with only one blown coverage deep in Samoan territory. Sought out forwards constantly and carried securely into them. Made a nice carry right into S10 from a lineout. Seemed to benefit from Jean on his inside when defending.

Balls as per normal.  How do you explain the following:-
*   De Allende's stats -
de Allende0/000/1/103617003/10/000/0
How do you explain the fact that he beat 7 defenders in the game yesterday?
*   the fact that it constantly took 2 or 3 defenders to bring down De Allende; and
*   even with those defenders he still went forward in tackles.
This myth about De Allende not playing "power rugby" is absolute crap and that is where the ifs and buts in your comments made it impossible to really take your comments seriously.

I don't understand what prompted that strange outburst. It was as I said, he targeted forwards and carried into then. Meyer is using him to attack the inner defenders. He did a steady job, though I would not go so far as to say he is a proponent of "power rugby". Far from it. He is doing what I said he did all year, but Meyer is applying it differently. So far, so good. However, he has yet to face a good attack at the World Cup, or elite defence. So as I say, I'm giving him a pass for the test, but I'm not drawing any more conclusions then that. Each game as it comes.

Your assessment of De Allende has always been falsified to support your proposal always was made in an effort to justify your support of Vrot Fransie.
You said De Allende was good and than added some ifs and buts.  Now let us have your assessment of De Allende's performance and I will then check it against reality - like I did in the Oz test - when you ran away after I exposed your BS and outright lies contained in your explanations.

Ran away? The very last motion on that discussion was me challenging you to post your write up on my thread as I could not remember the title.
As for this game? He was not strong in contact on defence. If you disagree then, reference a power tackle. I did note that he read the game much better and that his decision making overall was much improved. I noted his attacking exploits and the solitary run where he ran right at the Samoan 10. Quite honestly I don't know what more I can say. That he ran over everyone? Well that didn't happen. When he was brought to ground he had a player on his ankle and a primary tackler drive him to ground. I saw no instance where they needed 3 players to subdue him. Once he is in space it took one man to pin him down and a follow up to take him down completely. It's that simple. At least, it ought to be.

The usual nonsense being spouted from the inbred imbecile.

De Allende was his usual self ... pure class.

He'll go down in history as one of the best Goats ever.

I know exactly what happened in that game, to the detail in fact. Yet, seeing as you are the big man of the forum I thought it only fair to give you a shot at defending your turgid nonsense. It seems I did you a disservice! Just like all the other blowhard big mouths, put on the spot and you come up with nothing.

Yoiu had the audacity to post a thread containing a myriad of lies and disinformation on your part - but is still cowardly in not wanting to post the follow-up thread by me in which you were exposed as a liar.  Coward is a good description of you.
I do not accept lies and BS and you have posted a lot of those on this site.

That's a laugh ... you need a brain to put any of us on the so called "spot" ...

Your lack of intelligence is clearly as a direct result of years of inbreeding.

I'm curious ... which sister did your daddy squirt his seed into to produce you??

Desert C*ck,You need to grow a pair. Damian was monstrous. I cannot debate things with you if you are so fu*ked up. It's fantastic that the Boks bounced back as they did, we just need more consistency moving forward. Jean was good and played as his life depended on it, Vikki had to his standards a very good game, but the whole argument re Vikki is he is not a top world class lock do the hard work of a lock. This was obvious to see when Lood replaced him.Hell Britz was even alright. Habana had his best game in yonks, Fourie was very good, Pollard was excellent, JP came to the party apart from that stupid necklessing of Tuilagi. And the list goes on.I'm afraid Jannie is done.My main fear was that Lood was going to replace Eben. Thank god that didn't happen.

Did I not say that Damian had a good test Bongster Mok? The problem here is that the Damian groupies are adamant that he ran right over people. That didn't happen. We're it so, I'd have noted it. If you can think of a reference of this trampling, post it. I'll be posting the video anyway. So it's a moot point.

You are correct in this case.  Anybody who insists that Kirchner is better than Le Roux and Fransie Steyn is a better center than De Allende has his head up his own a r s e h o l e.  His brain has consequently morphed into his prostate gland and he continues to spread buckets full of Sh!t on this site.
Lood is much better than Matfield in all facets of lock play and that is a fact as well.

Again the Steyn story - the most ineffective noi 12 in any SA Super 15 backline.  You try and dress up a pig in silk clothing pretending that the pig is something different than a pig.
Steyn is probably the most ineffective center we have had for years now and his defense was always worse than De Allende.

Let me help....Allende did everything very well yesterday. But he did everything well up until about minute 65 against Oz. Then when the match opened up and defence wasn't a question of power on  in the inside, but judging pace and angles on backs in space, he failed the test.
Having Jean next to him against Oz would have helped him with positioning and timing. He wont have that luxury going forward. But I'm guessing HM has more faith that Steppie will provide some of that.....so we might see Kriel as the casualty in spite of his better showing yesterday.
I ask again, what try did Allende's tractoring lead to....every run died. He is a talent, but until he grasps defensive structure and until he he learns how to convert his power into dangerous movements....his effect on the game will remain mixed .

Still these issues should not be a problem, until the QFs

 Balls
Mozart do you ever watch the match yesterday?  Have a look at the one Pietersen try where De Allende took the ball to about 2 meters out and the ball came back quickly and went from Lambie to Pietersen for one of the tries.
Your lack of insight makes it impossible to assess the value of a player like De Allende.  He constantly put the Springboks on the front foot when carrying the ball and that made it easier for the Springboks to attack afterwards.   Your assessment is as per normal absolute BS.   Is tractoring a new word to devalue the contribution of a player?
You have been carrying on about vrot Fransie - who has a huge number of deficiencies and you have gone so far as to state that although h routinely achieve nothing in attack and is a rotten defender,  his mere presence in teams scares the wits out of opponents.

As per normal one can never discuss anything logical with you without an attack on Reinach and Lambie by you.   De Villiers did not look good last year before his injury he was very average at best.  He was very good in 2013 - but in the test of 2014 he was not as good as he was in 2013.
In any event - how do you know what De Allende's IQ is?  That is another reason why a person can never trust your assessment of players - because you have no idea about things and make statements as factual - things you never have any idea of or cannot prove.

HasBeenou after the defeatism you barking dogs were spreading before the Samoa game vs my clear, unhedged call for a Bok win by at least 20 points....I am the last person in tactical retreat.

Allende has played in 5 games for the Boks this year and it's still 0/0 despite all the hoopla about his tractoring runs....zero tries, zero assists. The game is about what you do for the scoreboard and the statisticians are quite generous about assists. Allende has none....if on the other hand there was a negative assist for an opponents try, he would have at least one.
Good raw talent doesn't make you a class international centre....unlike JJ and Taute he has the potential, but he isn't there yet.

Wrong again Dr Moz I said repeatedly that I expected the Boks to win and predicted a 20 point win.
Weak comeback Dr Mozzz. Best accept you got it wrong re Allende so applauded by all and sundry.  Otherwise more EGG will flow.
A try will come its only a matter of time.
Fine center Allende, Mallet commented on him making the most breaks in the Super 15.
T his is not as bad as the matfiled debacle but is not good!

The term tractoring is not a rugby term - so how is it applicable to certain players and not to others?   So was it with the term "process tackles".   You are constantly trying to discredit some players by using that type of definition.

Fat Fransie played in 53 tests for in the period 2006 to 2012 and in those 53 tests scored a total of 10 tries,   He played for the Sharks in 75 Super rugby games and scored 5 tries.     Damian de Allende played for the Stormers in 40 games scoring 8 tries,   So is Fransie tractoring as well?
I am afraid can cannot "tractor" either.  In Super 15  Fat Fransie -
*   in  2014 made 1 line break beating 8 tackles; and
*   in 2015 made 2 line breaks beating 9 tackles
In 2015 De Allende made 27 line breaks beating 73 tackles - so adequate prove that Steyn - whom you want in the Springbok team come hell or high water - cannot even tractor and is absolutely useless in all facets of play.   Is it because he scares the wits out of all opponents because of his massive (fat) presence?
You are impossible to discuss players with because you are prejudiced beyond a level where logical discussion is possible.

de Allende as he has done all year was awesome with ball in hand. No centre in the game beats as many defenders as thus guy does per game. His strike rate in this department is simply phenomenal. The mark of a centre and there is simply no peer in the game.
Hell he beat 7 in one half.
Any plank who questions his ability or credentials has to be the biggest fucking idiot of all time.
What he brings to the game compared to Jean is simply out of orbit
